Hello there,

I'm new to the van life in that I don't actually live in a van yet but am on the road to doing just that. I am a biologist, rock climber and outdoor enthusiast looking to make my life more harmonious by having a home on the road. I joined to see what other people have done and to ask sooooo many questions hahah. Hoping to move in to my un-purchased van this December so any information on insulation and ways to keep water in the liquid state would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi, ryguy! Welcome to the CRVL forums!

There's a lot of experience on this board and tons of ideas and pictures. Can't wait to see your van and how you customize it. Pictures are mandatory!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Hello ryguy,  and welcome to the forum.

I think you'll like having a Van to work from.  Handy little things like a home away from home to make you more comfortable in the field.

You may want to look at my website at the bottom of this post so see how to put a bare cargo Van into a
quick conversion on the cheap.   You can always revise it later and add more to your needs.  But that will
get you a few shake down outings to better know what you need and want.

All the best !  :)

to keep water in a liquid state, keep it inside your living space and keep as large of a container as possible also keep it as full as possible. highdesertranger
