My ex was/is addicted to "retail therapy", and even with a great paying job couldn't afford credit of any kind...she operates on cash only now.<br>When I operated a business CC's actually made money for me in cashbacks, and savings on checks, stamps, time...the key being to pay them in full each statement. Now that I am "semiretired" I have to be a bit more cautious about the spending - even gas could easily put me over my income if I don't keep a close eye on what I'm spending. I have to ask myself if I really need something more often now.<br> I do like the convenience and ability to get myself back on the road or homebase after a break down. <br>
