I hear a lot of , "Cast iron is the end-all be-all for camp cooking" etc. If planning on doing most cooking on a Coleman propane stove what have you folks found to be most convenient (cooks well & cleans up well) ?
Thanks
KinA

P.S Do most use paper plates ?

I haven't used that type of stove, but I swear by cast iron. I bought my first pan about a year & a half ago, & I already have 4 (2 of which I'll probably get rid of when moving into the van, just because of space restrictions)

I can't recommend cast iron highly enough. I use them so often that about 75% of the time I don't even wash them between uses (unless I make something messy, or I've burnt something onto the pan). A quick wipe with a paper towel is enough to keep going

I too love cast iron but also have some stainless and aluminum. I do not use paper plates either. I use pie tins or stainless mess hall plates depending on what's for diner. highdesertranger
