Congratulations to Billings, Montana as the Most Radioactive City in America.

Okay, this upset me as it is in the state where I hang out the most while boondocking. A Google search turned up a list of most radioactive cities back in 2011 -- Billings was number 53 on THAT list.

The list I saw was from Men's Health. They looked at things like radon, power plants, x-rays, UVA -- and things like how elevation can affect some of those.

The site linked to is.... dubious??? at best? At 10,000 times above "normal" levels wouldn't everyone be dead?
 
I must admit I have done no research on this for this area, but certain areas have elevated radiation levels from natural occurring sources, this I know. like I said I am not familiar with the situation there. I do know that certain groups will take information like this and use it for propaganda. highdesertranger

ok so what are we talking here, solar radiation or radioactivity. 2 different animals. highdesertranger
 
That map shows Montana in the mid range of solar radiation. Apples and Bananas~~~
