I'm loving all of the recent activity about cars.  I have stayed up to 3 weeks in my rig, the Voltebago, but I am a part-timer now.  I found out how to take videos (sort of), so I want to show off my set up.  I bought a custom bed from Steve O'hara at VoltShelf.weebly.com.  I prefer his plastic frame bed instead of plywood, due to off gassing. Electric vehicles make great rigs for camping and living, for those on the far side of minimalism, especially in cities.  I stick with wool and nylon clothing, to minimize my closet.  And a raw vegan diet, to minimize my kitchen and hygiene needs.  I'm hoping to attend RTR this year, if I have time.

I'm not sure I could ever truly relax while sleeping in a car with the motor running, and for me, that would become a bit mor like a "vault", not a "Volt".
One thing is certain though, that I will never be a raw vegan.

The beauty of an electric car is that the motor never runs while you are sleeping. The battery powers the fan, as well as the AC, stereo, lights, whatever else you want to run. There is no noise, vibrations, or fumes from an engine to worry about.
I look at my rig as a sleeping pod in the back, a closet in the passenger seat, an easy chair in the driver seat, and my living room is my surrounding environment. I can spend a lot more time in California beach towns in my Voltebago than I can with my RV or staying in hotels.
