Can I disable Chat?

I get tired of this chat window popping up and down. any way to shut it off permanently?<br>I set it to offline and at some point it turns itself back on, pops up for chat and I have to close it again. plus it doesn't close down all the way. there is this 3" x 1/2" rectangle hanging at the bottom right of my screen that says "Sing in to chat"<br><br>I just want it to go away forever<br><br>thanks

It is online every time I get on here, and I don't like that I have to turn it off every time.

It's at the worst when your bandwidth is intermitant, it keeps poping up and down, chewing up what little internet you are getting.&nbsp; Please make this crap optional, not always using screen space no matter what you do.

I do have it offline but for some reason it turns on once in awhile. <br>Either way the little box is always floating around taking up space on my 3.5" phone.<br><br>It may be a option that can not be turned totally off.

Okay. Fell asleep last night while waiting for customer service response. Found it in my inbox this morning.

The chat box can be disabled but not for a
Individual members. I can shut it off for the whole group.

I hate the thing, its like a gremlin. I am so happy it doesnt function on my phone.

In the past, many people reported using it a lot, so I never pursued it. I am all for getting rid of it because if one doesnt use it, it is very intrusive. It sounds like it hurts more people than it helps. Any voice from the "other side"? Let me hear your thoughts....

I selected the 'invisible' mode as a default, mostly because I'm not a chatter and didn't want to offend anyone who saw me online, tried to chat, and didn't get an answer.&nbsp; I've not had an issue with the chat box. I suspect that's the reason.

Turn off private messages and it shuts it off.
