California camping article

I have to figure out the tax situation before I go next time since I am hoping to stay 4 months of the year. I will be telecommuting to my job in Michigan so I may need to pay income tax in California. Not sure though.

I fled CA and returned to Iowa in '97...  and don't regret leaving for an instant.  My wife is a native San Diegan, and has no desire to go back.  That says a lot.  I have enjoyed returning to CA from time to time in the past twenty years, but this last trip I made out in January soured me forever.  I have no desire to return.  There's too many people... too much crowding and everything is too expensive.  It's just not for me any more.  I feel sorry for those who can't escape.

I am trying to "escape" now and that word fits 100%!  (I grew up in Ohio, also lived in Hawaii.)  Almost anywhere is better than here...

You have a place with highly desirable living with high earning sectors, great weather, great schools, grand geography, etc....housing prices go up

Great schools??  Have you heard of Common Core??  Extremely hot summers too, with almost no rain. (drought now most of the time.)
