Bought a van sight unseen online today. It is a 2008 Ford E250 extende length high top wheel chair lift equiped van with the 5.4 V8 with 52,000 miles. Clear carfax and all service records with one owner. Im having it shipped to me in NM and I will start my build in early Oct after I retire. Plan to be a part time vandweller and im looking forward to the build. Wish me luck!

I'm thinking about buying a FordE250. Claims it gets 16mpg city, 20 highway. Is that good? Or will it cost too much to drive it?

Congratulations on your purchase. I just received a 2004 E250 high top with the wheel chair lift. You got the extended, I would love to have the extended but reality for me it regular length is just what I need.
Enjoy your new van, sounds like an excellent buy with low miles too.
Congrats

Well the deal fell thru, the listing showed PW and PD locks and cruise control, turns out the listing was wrong. Didnt have any of those. The seller offered to work with me and install cruise but I just got a bad feeling so I cancelled the deal. Got my deposit back and the seller was good to work with, I just got a bad juju feeling about the deal. So the search continues.......

Glad you found those items were missing and that you were able to get your deposit back.

Power windows and locks can die but I’ve found them so worthwhile. The ability to ensure all doors are locked in an instant and to lower opposite side windows for more air have proven to be necessary luxuries in travels.
I rarely use cruise control as feel it results in less attention to the task but still a good option to have.

All these things you are learning will help you find the right vehicle
