Better pattern for aranging solar cells?

I found a reference to this on slashdot:<br><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amnh.org/nationalcenter/youngnaturalistawards/2011/aidan.html">http://www.amnh.org/nationalcenter/youngnaturalistawards/2011/aidan.html</a><br><br>I'm not sure if it is practical on an RV, but it does look interesting.&nbsp; I've got some questions about the research fairness, (from the picture, it apears that the cells were not mounted at the same height and over the same area) and other factors such as wind load would need to be studied as well.<br>

I think it might work as a coolness factor but from a practical standpoint I suspect in any large scale application, the resistance from the wires might more than make up for any improved efficancy<br>
