Best way to receive mail in FL?

I tried to search the forum, but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

I need to get some mail sent to me from Ohio.. What's the best way to go about this??

Go to the nearest USPS store and see if they will do General Delivery

Get it mailed to:

Wander Love Josh
GENERAL DELIVERY
Tampa, FL 33602-9999

Before you get it sent go to your nearest post office and ask. Some post offices don't do it. There are several post offices in major cities, it all goes to one of them, probably the one farthest from you. Go to the one they tell you is where your mail will go and ask them. Left hand, right hand, who knows what they are doing? They won't hold it long, they just send it back. When you are there asking, ask how long they keep it. You have to go to the window and ask for it. Zip code has to have the -9999, the "GENERAL DELIVERY" has to be all caps.

DO NOT get it sent to TAMPA...there are multiple post offices in Tampa and it's a virtual guarantee that it will end up at the wrong one.

Use a small town post office - there's only one in the town. USPS can't send it to the 'other' one.

Always check with the postmaster/mistress to make sure that it's okay...most are fine with it, some take offense and do everything they can to make it difficult.
