Bed for two or seat for two design

Hi everybody. I'm hoping to build a bed/seat combo that will sleep two but also serves as a seat with seat belts. Has anybody done this? I know the VW has such an item and have seen some foldaway models on the internet. The key is that I want to build a camper van but also would like to safely have at least 2 passengers in the back. Any ideas would be great!! thanks!

most of the rv's built today have seat belts in the back on their convertible seats. go to a rv dealer and have a look or better yet go to a rv show. take your tape measure and notebook. highdesertranger

My 87 dodge came with rear bench seats that folded into flat platforms. They had seat belts for three across. Maybe in a salvage yard?

Yes, a salvage yard would be a great idea...I've been looking at craigslist too. I may end up just building something...thanks!
