Babcock Webb Wildlife Management Area Review

I had stated in the past that this area had camping from Nov 1 thru Jan for
$26.50 for the entire time.

So I went to check it out today it’s about 8 miles south of Punta Gorda FLA.

Basically all the sites are taken on the November 1, there is minimal
Shade and everyone has an old travel trailer a pickup truck and they bring there own swamp buggy plus they dress in bright orange and carry long guns.

It would have been like the infield at Pocono Raceway during a 3 day NASCAR weekend but it would have lasted 70 straight days.

It's not far from the Redneck Yacht Club.

Here in sunny Florida, at least in my AO in the north, it is illegal to camp in hunting areas during hunting season, unless one is hunting. You should review state and management area regulations.
