At Cave of the Winds

with the grandsons.  Egad! The road up Pikes Peak was awful! It was while knuckles, first gear and the tightest switchbacks I have ever seen all the way. They are down the cave while my nerves settle. The, it's back down.

Sorry but I live for roads like the one at Pike's Peak!!

One of the girls with us sat on the floor of the van so she couldn't see out the windows and it took 3 beers to calm the b/f. He insisted on driving and it was his van, he never drove another mile in Colorado after that which was fine with me because I revel in driving those kinds of roads.

But then I deliberately chose to skip the Eisenhower Tunnel in favor of the pass and did the 'Oh My God' road out of Blackhawk/Central City down to Idaho Sorings....had an absolute blast!!

It's another case of some do and some don't....
