On the road for summer
There are some unusual vehicles of all descriptions around Quartzsite. Unfortunately, many pass on by before I can whip out a camera :-/

Before my first visit to North America, it was all I knew of for holidays. I had never seen a motorhome. Caravans like that pictured are still more popular on the roads downunder, though they are much more modern looking now. (Of course campervans are much more popular here than in the US.)

Cool rig, Papa. Love the truck.

Here's a trailer I saw at the gas pumps. It has a door on the curb side near the front also.

That looks like an old Yellowstone...I have a 1958 Yellowstone....the front is more modern and the rear looks like that....it's pretty used up and was given to me.
I sold the 40 Ford to buy the 5th wheel and my Triumph for Quartszite, I do have a few other trailers including

Oh yeah, gotta love the oldies. We missed a show that a vintage club held here a couple weeks ago.

Guess it gets so cold in Cheyenne they don't sell many bikes there in winter...

Last year in Q I saw a school bus with a VW bus grafted on top, one of the other hosts in Mt Hood this summer had a school bus with a pop-up grafted on top.

Never made it to a Grateful Dead concert, didja??? :D

Once we can start our photo albums, then I'll have one showing my favorite groovy rigs. (I had one on the old site).
Lots of funky busses and housetrucks in that!!

btw...Thankyou for the kind words about my old rig.
I sold the panel truck to a guy in Amsterdam Holland a year ago. GREAT guy who drives the wheels off it! (made a 5000 mile roadtrip though France, Germany, Spain & Portugal in it this summer!)

and the teardrop went 4 years ago. (that was fun, but probably won't have onna those again.)

MacJ asked for more pics of anything in and around Q. I'll have to keep my camera handy more often.

I actually saw a Tesla electric car charging station behind Carl's Jr restaurant. I didn't expect to see such a thing! Remind me to post a pic of that later.

The opening of the station was a big deal around here a few months ago. This allows free travel for Tesla car owners from L.A. to Phoenix. For a only $70K you can buy the car :dodgy:

Its a nice car tho...iwonder how much never paying for fuel offsets that price. Then compare that to a comparably featured car.

Of course that assumes tesla and stations remain for its life
