Any Remote Medical Coders here?

I have an opportunity to do remote medical coding. It means though that I would have to go to a meeting once a month.
Also, I would need to have reliable access to internet.
Any other remote coders here? If so, what are your experiences?

I am with a local (CA) clinic that trains local medical coders to work remote - though we still have to come to a meeting once a month on site.
I think I know what you are talking about though - I have not checked out the 'national' remote coder employers.

Hello- I work for a south western health company. I’ve been debating about switching to medical coding for the remote possibilities. I’ve not found much information about people working from the road. My company also requires you meet monthly, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem. I’m wondering if the lack of a secure network would require me to be in one location. Have you been able to travel?
