(Personally) I would Never have another Class C motorhome-- the front (Above the driver) part are terrible about leaking or just plain coming off, due to water leaks, and wrotting.I have a Lady friend in MD hers broke off-on I.95 "rough road" cost her 10K to get it fixed---this past summer leaks have destroyed it,again.
I hope this one that you are looking At,will be great.
granted my Class "A" has had problems leaking over the sky light (bathroom) but that took one weekend of leaking to fix,Flo-Seal,
good luck-sparky1.

That leaking issue on the cabovers is one thing I am leery about with windows in that area. The RV I fell in love with has windows on the front and both sides to bring more light into the small RV, but it has me worried about three more places for potential leaks. :-(

Never had any problems with leaking. It is called preventive maintenance. Resealed if nessessary. That easy. Some people just buy them and think they can just go with no maintenance and wonder why they have leaks after a few years.

Hubby is a carpenter and has been looking into materials for sealing and the like. Jumped.

Bigred,

I wondered if proper maintenance (or lack of) was the main issue of leaky windows. I am prepared to do whatever maintenance necessary since I plan on driving it until its dead. I figured that if leaks were that much of a problem, surely the manufacturing end would have been corrected along the way.

I am flying out Thursday to pick her up. Too expensive to get the critters and hubby there, so driving back to Mass. Going to have her looked over before I leave the Phoenix area and take a day to learn to drive her. She is much bigger then my van. Considering getting mechanical insurance for the year through Good Sam. Not sure yet. So much to learn and figure out.
