Hey all, name's Rick and I am introducing myself again as my initial post was lost when the forum crashed. I am in the process of selling my home of 15 something years and everything associated with it. As soon as I close on the house I am going to hit the road for the foreseeable future. Recently I purchased a 1992 24' Cobra American on a Ford E350 chassis and am beginning to go through it. I plan to install catalytic heat, 300 watts of solar, composting toilet, convert all lighting to LED, etc., etc.. My plan is to boondock as much as possible when not workamping and to check out the vast amount of this country that I have passed through but wasn't able to properly explore. Prior to purchasing my home I was quite nomadic, working all manner of jobs from northern Maine to above the arctic circle in Alaska and I'm looking forward to getting back to that lifestyle. I have travelled by train, plane, truck, foot, you name it, but I have never travelled by RV so I will be frequenting this forum in an effort to gain as much information as I can regarding this particular mode of transportation and way of life.
