My ideal van would be an extended cargo with a high top that still has 10 years of moderate (not planning to travel much) driving left in it. How much should I expect a van like this to cost?

That will depend a whole lot on where you are.

You can use Kelly Blue Book and plug in some pretend facts (make, model, age, mileage etc) and get some ball park figures that way.

Since the high top can't be plugged in to the values all you can do is get the pricing for the van without it and then add something for it's value to you if find you need to.

Keep in mind that if you find the ideal van but without the high top it can be added on, either by getting one from a yard or buying it new.

I've got just what you need. She's a 2002 freightliner sprinter van with high roof, extended wheel base. I get 25 mpg, I can stand up in it with my hat on and the roof doesn't leak (I fixed that). Since she only has 400,000 miles, I'll be wanting $3500 (negotiable). No, I'm not kidding. I bought a new one.
