I just purchased a Dokia portable 100 watt solar panel with a controller attached. I am adding it to a permanent 12V system on an as-needed basis, supplementing my existing power from 310 watts (existing panel on the roof) to 410. I have a Victron 30amp controller, a 2000w inverter and 2 Battle Born lithiums presently as my existing system. This Dokia will be outside during the day and brought in at night. I will run the wires into the rig but want to know this:
1) Can I just clamp the alligator clips directly to the existing batteries and will they charge equally? Bypassing the permanent controller and inverter.
2) Does it matter which battery I attach them to?
3) Will this have any effect on the inverter, since I am attaching them after the inverter, instead of before it?

Since it has a built in controller, I would rather use it and avoid permanently wiring it into the existing Victron. Since the Victron is only a 30amp controller, I would rather keep it as is for the 310 watt panel presently on the roof. Plus I want to quickly hook and unhook the new portable easily right from the batteries.
Thanks for any help,
Scott

The controllers will work with each together. Clamp to the batteries.

If your batteries are 12v connected in parallel, put the positive on one battery and the negative on the other battery.

Your inverter should be connected to the batteries this way too.
