Yep I saw that but a lot of work and updating to get it to where it would need to be for most people.

hahahaha 1800 bucks hahahahahaha

salvage title
they think it's a front wheel drive
500 bucks tops and that depends on a lot

Look again. They are selling it in 'salvage condition'. Clean title.

Since it doesn't run, I guess FWD is as good as RWD to them...

If the harness is burned, that would be quite a hassle.

well you can have a clean salvaged title. again confusing. In the business a clean title means no liens.

also the wire harness is readily available. you could upgrade to a completely new wire harness with new style fuses for under 1k.

or if you want to go cheap just get a used one. how many wires do you think are on a 69 Chevy truck?

R-r-right. That would be part of the beauty of an old horse like this one.

With all the repop stuff they make for old cars nowadays, it might not be too bad.

Parts are available but seems the prices have gone up!

well I just pulled this up,

590 bucks. I figured 500 and doubled it for other stuff.

BTW I have used Painless on several vehicles I find them to be excellent as far as fit and instructions.

Not a bad price. It even follows the original color code.

I think I'll be going to take a look at it just for grins.

I went across the USA in one similar to this in the 1960's.. maybe 1968. It was my grandmother's. She always had an RV and a boat.

A few months ago I read Steinbeck's "Travels With Charley" and this old '69 made me think of the camper he drove on his trip around the country.

His was a 1960 model and quite a bit different though. Really quaint compared to modern rigs.

Not to mention different roads, country stores, communications and people’s attitudes!

Nice find.........50+ years old, I can't imagine the time and purchases it would take to make it reliable. It would be nice to hear the makeover story  of who ever  buys and restores it.  Talent required!!  To me,  life is about managing frustration,   I'm not going to go and buy frustration, I would be on overload!

Yeah,it would take quite a bit of work but if the basic bones are solid, it could be made reliable. It's desirable to me because it has a manual transmission. Also, the ignition and fuel system would be simpler to deal with, at least for someone who has experience with older vehicles.

Troubleshooting and dealing with driveability problems wouldn't be any more frustrating than dealing with an older computerized, fuel injected vehicle which can be VERY frustrating.

Plus 140,000,000 fewer people clogging those roads! And not one of them was texting while driving...
