i actually found a site with a guy who used a computer model to calculate the fastest road trip route to visit all the cont. us states, while visiting 1 landmark in each. i decided to use that as a base route for myself, adding stops and things i want to see, campsites, and cutting out what i dont

While I like some tourist destinations, I don't think arbitrary poilitical boundarys are a good way to sort them.

Well it said optimal, i assumed it meant fastest/shortest.
