Was reading this article

http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2012/11/01/our-new-237-per-month-health-insurance-plan/

Seems legitimate and the comments are very appropriate. So we can start budgeting for this cost if you lose your job. $3000 per year for health insurance on top of having the large deductible in the bank.

At least it gives you a way to pay for cancer treatments if you get it. Per my other discussion on how you could get treated for cancer, or heart disease if those catistrophic health events occur while on the road living the life.

Just wanna note that they don't have to take you, but there is a non refundable application fee too I was tempted but i think im gonna see where the health care bill is gonna land first. The turd is dropping either way, I might as well see if it will help me any.

Here is another article with description about what to consider comparing the new OBAMA care to the HIGH DEDUCTIBLE insurance that you can get. Still think this is very fraught with danger for the naive consumer. You might not know what coverage you really have, until you have to use it; and it all depends on you setting it up correctly one time.

http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/2012/11/17/hdhp-with-hsa-friend-or-foe/

Yeah, what worries me is the whole in network, out network stuff. They are sneaky. You go to an in network hospital, and everything is golden right? But what they don't tell you is that the third nurse on the left who takes your blood, the anesthesiologist, and specialist C and D are not 'in network' and cost you double or worse. I know they have PPOs where this don't matter but a lot of the times the coverage isnt as comprehensive or as cheap with those plans. It would be nice if the health care bill addresses this predatory practice but I have a feeling it will get worse with that kind of thing.

I guess having something is better than having nothing, like i currently do. I wish going to the hospital was like going to a mechanic, where you at least get an up front quote and they tell you before adding anything to it
