This is posted on the Cheap RV Living homepage, which I hardly ever see since I usually just click into the forum. I'm guessing there's a few other's that haven't seen it.<div><br><div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><b style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; background-color: rgb(204, 255, 0); "><i><font size="4"><span style="font-size: 20px; line-height: 28px; ">Plan now to Attend:<br>The 1st Annual Summer<br></span></font></i></b><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-size: x-large; "><b style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; "><i><font><span style="line-height: 51px; "><a href="http://cheaprvliving.com/Renezvous.html" style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; " target="_blank">Rubber</a>&nbsp;</span></font></i></b><b style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; "><i><span style="line-height: 51px; "><a href="http://cheaprvliving.com/Renezvous.html" style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; " target="_blank">Tramp</a>&nbsp;</span></i></b></span><a href="http://cheaprvliving.com/Renezvous.html" style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; " target="_blank"><b><i><font><span style="line-height: 51px; "><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-size: x-large; ">Rendezvous</span></span></font></i></b></a></span></div><div><font size="5" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); "><span style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0); ">&nbsp;SHAVER LAKE, CALIFORNIA</span></font></div><div><b style="font-family: Tahoma; text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; background-color: rgb(204, 255, 0); "><i><font color="#330000" size="4"><span style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 26px; ">June 19-July 3, 2012</span></font></i></b>&nbsp;<font color="#990000" size="5"><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); "></font><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); "><span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">Info here:</span><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); "><a href="http://cheapgreenrvliving.com/Rendezvous_Summer_2012.html" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">http://cheapgreenrvliving.com/Rendezvous_Summer_2012.html</a>&nbsp;<span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><b style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; "><i><font><span style="line-height: 51px; "><font size="5"><a href="http://cheaprvliving.com/Renezvous.html" style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; " target="_blank"><br></a></font></span></font></i></b><b style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; background-color: rgb(204, 255, 0); "><i><font color="#330000" size="4"><span style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 26px; "><br><br><br></span></font></i></b><b style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; background-color: rgb(204, 255, 0); "><i><font size="4"><span style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 26px; ">Everyone who lives,<br>(or dreams of living)<br>in a vehicle, is welcome.</span></font></i></b></span></div><div><b style="font-family: Arial; text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; background-color: rgb(204, 255, 0); "><i><font face="Comic Sans MS" size="4"><span style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 26px; "><br></span></font></i></b></div><div><span style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; background-color: rgb(204, 255, 0); "><font face="Arial"><span style="line-height: 26px; ">(thanks for the heads up, Judy!)</span></font></span></div></div><div><span style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; background-color: rgb(204, 255, 0); "><font face="Arial"><span style="line-height: 26px; "><br></span></font></span></div><div><span style="text-align: -webkit-center; white-space: nowrap; "><font face="Arial"><span style="line-height: 26px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-style: italic; font-size: small;">Edited due to change of location</span></font></span></div>

Sounds like fun Cyndi but way too high an altitude for me...I will have to settle for lots of photos.<br>bri<br><br>

<p style="margin: 0px;">I've been to Leadville once. </p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">Note the ONCE... lol</p>

<p><font size="3" face="Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Planning to be there!&nbsp; I can combine the Summer RTR w/ a visit to the Cheyenne grandkids...woo-hoo!&nbsp; This morning the wind is trying to make less than an inch of snow into a&nbsp;blizzard in S E OH...it's great to have happy things to think about and plan for.</font></p>

<p style="margin: 0px;">Summer in Colorado, drop down to Rahma NM. Magpies, Ravens and Horny Toads. Yes. <img border="0" align="absmiddle" src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif"></p><p style="margin: 0px;"><font color="#ff00ff"><b>Dragonfly</b></font></p>

<p><font size="3" face="Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Dragonfly, do you mean you will be in CO for the rtr or you will be in Rahma NM and request company?&nbsp; or both?</font></p>

<p style="margin: 0px;"><b>Butterfly, both I hope, finances are getting better, knock on wood. I have sent a couple of people here the&nbsp;addy to the Rahma place. About 6ooo ft. You do not have to have a 4x4, it actually has marked and named streets. I have not been to it for 5 years but people I know from the web site check in on it for me. Just a pretty little piece of rocks and&nbsp;short pine trees, horned toads (lizards) and ancient pottery&nbsp;shards. It is fairly flat and easy to park on. I hope my 21 yo daughter will be able to go with me.&nbsp;I will love company. I'm an extrovert you know<img border="0" align="absmiddle" src="/images/boards/smilies/wink.gif">.</b></p><p style="margin: 0px;"><b><font color="#00ffff" size="3">Dragonfly</font></b></p>

<font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">Thank you Cindi! &nbsp;I hadn't read the post about it. &nbsp;Leadville is in the San Isabelle National Forest. &nbsp; It is one of the most beautiful areas in the United States, in my opinion. &nbsp;I've hiked some of the mountain trails in that area, and they're breathtaking. &nbsp; The small town itself, is just your typical small dirt town, but the forest and state parks around it are magnificent. &nbsp;..Drive 3 miles in any direction from the town, and you're in heaven. &nbsp;...Miles of vast thickets of trees, lakes, wildflowers, streams... and you're in, and surrounded by the mountains. &nbsp; My daughter wanted to have her high school pictures taken outside of Leadville, with Mt. Elbert in the background. &nbsp;I'm looking at it right now. &nbsp;...Picture this.. Set your chair in a field of yellow wildflowers, The temperature is warm enough to go without a jacket. &nbsp; In the background are green forests, and then further in the background are snow-capped mountains with white clouds floating around them. ...Temp. is beautiful during the day, but you'll definitely need a heater at night.&nbsp;</span></font><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">Thanks for bringing it to my attention Cyndi. &nbsp;I'll be there. &nbsp;</span></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">Katie</span></font></div>

Hmmmm ... We only stopped in the town of Leadville: I don't recall anything like Katie's describing, Nor does DW, so we must have missed something. The area seemed quite barren to us.

<font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">Hi Seraphim, &nbsp; If I were just driving through I would have thought the same thing. &nbsp; The town itself is nothing to clap with joy about. &nbsp; ..But when you turn off of the paved road, and onto the roads going up into the hills, ...it's captivating. &nbsp;</span></font><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small; "><br></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small; ">...Old age must be creeping up on you.. We spent 11 years living, hiking, biking, and jeeping in the Leadville area before selling our home to move into a travel trailer. It is an area we happen to know a thing or two about <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"> Gorgeous place.<div><br></div><div>Tentative plans our to be Colorado this June so would love to meet some of the group we are in the area.</div>

Nice images ped! Thanks for correcting our thoughts about the area. DWs due a retirement present trip this June. These images might convince her.
