Since I spend a lot of time in the city - mainly just travel outside the city on the weekends - I'm always hanging at Mickey Deees Golden Arches for a side salad and a diet coke.

Currently they are running a large diet coke with a plastic cup for $1.00 plus tax. When I get one, I use the cup for a pee cup for a day or two. If it's a day when I want a salad and no soda, they will sell me a huge glass of ice water for $0.16 to cover the cup cost. I prefer to store the used pee cups (with lid) in a wastebasket to avoid drinking out of them inadvertantly. It also keeps them from turning over and spilling when driving.

It is a cheap solution for peeing....

VT

Nice thing about pop bottles 'n such is that, when you're tired of it, you can empty it and return it for the deposit! Of course, I have to use 'wide-mouth' bottles, but that's my burden to bear.

I'm partial to used detergent jugs- large base, handy handle, which clips nicely into one of those spring clips used to hang a broom so it stays upright and is always in the right place, large easy to grip cap, opaque so casual visitors don't think your weird for peeing in your van, just cut out the pour spout... even has odor abatement for a while until the detergent gets washed out.

good one, Karl. I like that the threads of the cap are on the inside. Prevents drips. Now I just wish I hadn't already recycled my old detergent bottle. Guess I'll just have to hold it till I use up my new one.

Ice Cream pail...My aims not so good!
Rae

I've used the laundry jugs, too. That's a good point about people not thinking you're weird. I think I'll go back to using the detergent bottles and keep the Mcdonalds cups for emergencies...

I prefer the clear 1 gal widemouth juice jugs. This way I can see how full it is and don't have to stop halfway through my 'session'. ..Willy.

Just want to put a 'post' in for us lassie's!! At the beginning of our journey I bought a she-wee online. I practiced in the shower and took to it instantly. I thought, this was gonna be a breeze. I used it during the day in our van...a little harder but if I could control the flow, not so bad. Then I used it during the nighttime...when I was a half asleep, in the dark....let's just say this was not a solution. We actually ended up tearing the carpet out of the van after that adventure...use your imagination on that one! haha I guess if you have good aim in your sleep in the dark and can control your flow, it wouldn't be that bad of an invention for women but I have to say that I love our Coleman 'porta-potty'. It might be a little hard to find dumping stations but when you gotta go, ya gotta go and whether it's day or night the hole is the same size and I don't have to worry about aim or flow! I have met some other women though that don't have toilets, they too have juice bottles with the wide rim/opening and they use a (kind of) flimsy funnel they just contort to the body and go from there. They have also told me to be aware of the type of lid the bottle has due to spillage or tumbling about your vehicle. So if you're a blind magician the she-wee is for you, but if you're normal (shucks) like the rest of us wide open spaces are your friends! Good luck to you and 'yours'.
Kalani

1 Qt Gatorade bottles... enjoy the refreshment then use the bottles... wash and reuse... cap always stays tight and leak free, not to mention if eating right the contents look as if your pouring out a warm bottle the the stuff... Fast, easy, cheap and reusable many times...

Well...I still standby...over...my icecream pail...even has a lid!
Rae

Empty Maxwell House plastic 2.5 lb.coffee container. 2 free grocery bags and kitty litter. . . optional.

I use plastic spaghetti sauce jars. Wide mouth and about a quart which for me will last the night easy. Every so often I spray what ever cleaner I have handy into it for odor control

Good idea. The big one-gallon platic gatorade jugs work well too. Wide moth lid. Just don't buy the tropical flavor for consumption... too close to the same color!
