They want to monitor us inside our vehicles by 2026

@Happy Camper Pretty neat. Thanks. I tried to post a story that mentioned using infrared cameras to determine driver attentiveness but it's not posting for some reason. @fairman136 Now that I wouldn't mind being reported. If their insurance went up due to their driving behaviors maybe they'd...

I agree. But I've continued to read about this and I still can't find any other news mentioning video in the car except for what this guy says. So perhaps there's nothing to really worry about. I still think the drunk sensors are neat. But when he started talking about video in the car I...

Also I can't find any other news specifically about video being taken so idk where this guy got that info. If they do take video though how will folks maintain their insurance? Folks are going to get canceled for actually living in their vehicles.

Yeah I'm all for the safety aspect of this. I just don't like the spying aspect. Having the intoxicant sensors is cool but the rest of it I'm honestly afraid of.

Hi, not sure this is the right place for this. Thought I'd share something that scared the hell outta me. Apparently this law has already passed. In efforts to combat drunk driving congress passed this to monitor us within our vehicle. Including video within the vehicle! Has anyone heard about...

The discrimination of the van Life community in America

We bow to it because we must. For now. I am angry that things are this way but you have to look at some factors. The people in this lifestyle are under attack from the powers that be. And so they pass laws that hinder us and we get harassed. Sometimes for little reason. Add to that the fact...

The discrimination of the van Life community in America

I feel your pain. Like many here I too have been singled out over the years. But for me I don't see that there's much to be done aside from voting and trying to adapt. Staying in town can be tough and from my experience it's going to get tougher. There are more and more folks living this...

    Greetings from NoCal

Good lookin' out. Np. Downtown has the potential of being too busy at night for me. Unfortunately any other spot I know of I won't spend more than I night at a time there. Moving everyday is a drag though. Once I'm in town I can reconnect with some old faces and maybe find a spot that way...

@bullfrog Thank you @maki2 I feel you're right about Eureka. And it's not a big place. The police get to know your rig pretty quick which could be good and bad. I know there are tons of places to stay outside town. I'm just trying to save on gas. We'll see how it goes. My new vehicle doesn't...
