    Hello from Indiana

Whereabouts in Indiana? I've lived all over the state: Madison, Lafayette, Logansport, Frankfort, and Indy. I'm in Florida now but will always consider myself a Hoosier. I have a Jeep also, but a Liberty

    Happy Thank's Giving

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! My family is actually skipping a big meal this year because we just had a big ceremony and reception for my parent's wedding vow renewal. 53 years!

    Greetings from Minnesota

A woman assigned the title of female at birth, so not trans. Because she's using the phrase, it's generally safe to assume that she has an open mind and open heart without prejudice

    Any SUV dwellers?

I'll be in 2002 Jeep Liberty soon. Starting out in January! My little dog will be with me. All is ready to go now, just helping my parents out with the holidays first.

    Your ideal evening?

So the day is winding to a close and you've finished your meal, but you're not quite ready for sleep. What are your favorite ways to spend a few hours? If I'm camping, I'll take a nice walk and photograph, looking for species to log in my wildlife journal. If I'm doing urban stealth or Walmart...

    Worthwhile destinations?

It'll be about 6 months to start. National Parks are definitely on the list. Any amazing state parks to recommend? I remember Custer in SD from a childhood trip, but have little knowledge of places west of the Mississippi. I'm into photography, wildlife, landscapes, and history, but I'm also...

show to hide door and window?

A thought on going with business stealth: I wouldn't go with plumbing. Could encourage thieves looking for copper.

    Worthwhile destinations?

What wonderful place to go would you recommend? I'll be starting my journey in Florida, making a great clockwise loop around the lower 48. What's a must see in your experience? Maybe even not-so-big stops, such as your favorite bbq joint or a cute country fair?

I think so? I'm not a mechanic so I'm not sure. Just remembering my history projects from school.

    Random trivia to ponder

Imagine having to carry all the maintenance supplies you needed for that, on top of hundreds of pounds of food that took forever to cook, etc. Then driving over only rutted tracks. Makes me so grateful for truck stops and maintained roads!

    Random trivia to ponder

Pine tar to lubricate. Meat grease was a budget option, but not as good. You'd have to jack the wheel up and soak it in a tub of linseed oil to preserve the wood. Also brush it over areas not fully immersed. It soaked in more easily if it was heated. I love watching his videos! So many good...

    Random trivia to ponder

You'd have to carry a jack (nicknamed "finger crushers"), linseed oil, and pine tar. It was ideal to work on one wheel each night to keep ahead of breakdowns. Oxen would just eat grasses along the way.

    Random trivia to ponder

In 1845, a conestoga wagon cost about $225 and a team of four oxen $40. This translates into a total of about $9000 today. Average speed was 2 mph, and you could make it from St Louis to California in about 5 months if the weather was good. Any other vandwelling trivia you think is interesting?
