Got my first van, could use general advice

In Rhode Island you don't need a title if the vehicle is before 2000, I called and asked first.

Got my first van, could use general advice

So I bought this van off of CL and I paid $1000 for it. I'm feeling some semi-buyer's remorse and anxiety. https://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/d/no-rust-1996-ford-extended/6387659293.html The Good 2 100 watt solar panels(only 1 hooked up), deep cell battery, controller, power inverter large...

Swing out van window replacement options?

Oh crap, I might have the wrong window name. What is the name of the window directly behind the drivers window?

Swing out van window replacement options?

In Mass you need a title for any vehicle to register it. In Rhode Island where I live, you don't need one if the vehicle is made before 2000.  How hard of a job is it to pull a window out of a van at a junk yard? If I can't handle it, will someone who works there do it for a fee?

Swing out van window replacement options?

I just bought my first van, and I got a good deal on it considering it had a window that needed to be replaced.  It's a 1996 Ford E-350 Club Wagon Passenger Van Extended. The ad is still up.   https://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/d/no-rust-1996-ford-extended/6387659293.html I don't know much...

What is a fair price on this Class B?

Even in good condition, I'm still not sure what the van is worth. I don't have enough info on the "options" to plug them in correctly into Nada. What do you guys think? What should I offer roughly?

What is a fair price on this Class B?

https://providence.craigslist.org/rvs/d/class-dodge-ram-roadtrek-250/6374741956.html Nada lists it in good condition at around 6K-ish, but I'm not sure of all of the van's options. I added what I knew.  I've read that Nada prices tend to be a bit higher than what RV's actually sell at...

DC-DC converters to avoid running inverter

I need to charge a laptop, and I plan on buying Car Jump Starter and a laptop to ciggie port cord to charge it. Could I just skip the buying the cord altogether? Can I just charge the laptop off of the jump starter while it's charging off the ciggie port? Would I lose a lot of juice this...

Power source suggestions for an SUV 2 week trip?

I just have a standard laptop.  The phone needs a 2 prong plug to charge, it's old and not a USB. It charges fast and takes a long time to run out of juice, though. I can't seem to find a product that goes from a car lighter to a normal female plug that isn't an inverter of some sort. a cheap...

Power source suggestions for an SUV 2 week trip?

What is the difference between a 120W and a 400W inverter? Will a bigger one charge faster? Can I get away with buying the cheapest 30$ jump start...

Power source suggestions for an SUV 2 week trip?

Everything is still up in the air, but I'll probably only be driving a few hours a day at a time, and maybe spend a few days at a time around cities. I wasn't thinking of solar yet.  I'm not sure I've I can get away with charging a laptop at a Starbucks or whatnot. I am not planning on visiting...

Power source suggestions for an SUV 2 week trip?

I've never hit the road before. I'm planning to do a 10-14 day trip and see how I like it.  I've been reading about power stations and inverters, but I'm not sure what to go with since I have no experience traveling like this. I'll have a 15 inch laptop, a low energy dumbphone, and maybe a...

Hi! I have wanderlust and I'm seeking guidance

Thanks everyone for the help and advice! Their was so much good info in here, I can't even begin to address it all. I am going to buy the SUV. So far I'm thinking platform, bedding, curtains, and storage bins as the foundation for it. I still have a lot of research to do and some questions to...

Hi! I have wanderlust and I'm seeking guidance

I have wanderlust, but little experience travelling.  I'm 37, I have a good amount of money saved up, and I'm not tied down at all.  I dream of seeing new places and enriching my soul through travel. I've had the itch for a long time.      I don't have any experience living out of a vehicle, so...
