Finding street parking with Google Maps

I once watched a video about finding street parking via Google Maps by Will Prowse but seems like it has since been taken down. What are good techniques to finding street parking via Google Maps? Thanks

    Nomad best laptops or tablets?

SSD is the drive where your files are stored when you use the computer (even after shutting down the computer), your files are read from the drive and written to it. A SSD is much faster than a hard disk drive (HDD), which is what is usually installed in cheaper/older computers. The faster the...

    Nomad best laptops or tablets?

I would recommend looking into upgrading to a SSD and increasing the RAM to 16GB, those two changes have the best ROI for older (5+ years) computers and are cheaper than getting a new device.

    Ceiling Panels

I could probably use plusnuts in the round openings but most the openings on the crossbeams aren't round, they're more like rounded rectangles. Would the plusnuts be better than hollow wall anchors (or togglebolts) in that case? Since the plusnuts wouldn't be able to fully grip the crossbeam...

    Ceiling Panels

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to look at using the hollow wall anchors to see if it's possible to use the existing holes in the crossbeams instead of drilling new ones

    Ceiling Panels

I'm building out a 2013 Nissan NV2500 high roof and I can't seem to figure out what is the best way to connect plywood panels to the ceiling ribs? I have the body builder's guide for the van and it says the holes need a M8x1.25 bolt but I'm not sure how to connect it properly since I don't have...

    Looking for a battery monitor

Would all the additional information that the Victron monitor provides be useful if I were to go with a Lithium battery instead of a SLA Deep Cycle battery? From my understanding the Lithium battery can be fully discharged without any long term issues. p.s. I know this is veering a little from...

    Looking for a battery monitor

Working on setting up my electrical system and I'm looking to get a battery monitor, I've been searching and I saw 2 monitors that seem to be pretty similar (feature-wise) but the prices are way different. The first is Victron BMV-702 Battery Monitor at $206 and the second is the bayite DC...

    Charging Batteries Without Solar

I'm planning on getting my battery bank soon (2 6V GC2 AGM Deep Cycle batteries connected in series) and I'm waiting a little before getting the solar panels and charger controller for the whole setup. I wanted to know if it's possible (recommended?) to charge the batteries outside of the van...

Improving airflow in a Nissan NV2500

With all the notifications I missed it. Just read it, thank you. I'll check if that would work well on my van, I don't recall exactly how the license plate area is setup from the inside.

Is Off Gassing Something I Should Be Concerned About?

After watching Bob's video on his latest battery setup I'm looking into getting a pair of 224AH 6V batteries and connecting them in series to get 12V. In the video Bob mentions that there might be some off-gassing (thermal runaway?) from the batteries but he himself is not concerned about it...

Improving airflow in a Nissan NV2500

From responses I read about my question I gathered that it might not be a good idea to go with the floor vents as that could allow exhaust fumes to enter the van so I was thinking about having an additional intake openings in another spot besides the floor. I mounted the Maxxair fan in the...

Improving airflow in a Nissan NV2500

I recently installed the Maxxair Deluxe 5100 on my Nissan NV2500 High Roof, it's currently running well using an external battery. I'm looking for ideas to improve the airflow since the cargo space gets a little hot during the days sitting in the Florida weather (been getting 90+ degrees...

Maxxair Dexlue On A Nissan NV2500

Update: I ended up installing the fan without the adapter using plenty of butyl tape on the bottom of the flange and sealant around the tape and almost everywhere else :P [img=640x480] Two of the sides of the flange are screwed into small pieces of wood to better hold it in place and it seems...

    Cylinder 3 Misfire (P0303) On Nissan NV2500

I ended up replacing the remaining 7 plugs and so far it's been running fine. Plug #3 was the worst offender

    Run Fan Without Solar

I'm planning to install the Maxxair 5100K that I ordered soon but won't be hooking up solar yet. What are some good ways of being able to run the fan without solar for the time being? I was thinking about running it off the van battery (Nissan NV2500) but not sure if that would damage the...

Maxxair Dexlue On A Nissan NV2500

I messaged a seller of the adapters on eBay and asked about the NV but they don't have one for it. I'll probably end up using layers of butyl
