Hello! Any advice and help appreciated!

Living within that space won't be an issue; I'm mostly at work and all my jobsites are fine with me sleeping where I work. I already don't have any of those things and shower at PF's lol. Thanks for all the input. One question about your cabinet suggestion; did you go for any reduced depth...

Ziptied Corrugated Plastic Panels is also a good idea.

Hello! Any advice and help appreciated!

Did you frame out the van for that or did you directly screw the panels to the van? This is a decent idea tbh. Did you use a template for the cuts or how did you go about it?

Hello! Any advice and help appreciated!

With insulation filling the void between “studs” and with the studs also running lengthwise I didn’t think it would be too much of issue. Now if that doesn’t provide enough structural support I could always trim a 1/4 plywood and then adhere the FRP to that; correct?

Hello! Any advice and help appreciated!

I appreciate the input and vote of confidence. Honestly I'm currently living out of the Promaster with just a bed and my work supplies and it is sooooooooo much more comfortable having a normal amount of space to sleep in. I know simultaneously living out of the van and working 65-80hrs a week...

Hello! Any advice and help appreciated!

I like the electric company analogy. I was living in a Transit Connect with chemicals and work equipment leaving me with about 2’ x 5’8” of space on top of cardboard or less for a couple months due to some bad circumstances. Just making it clear I’m expecting to adjust and plan accordingly...

    My 2023 Promaster livability build

Really nice, functional, and comfortable setup. Was curious to see what you were using after your advice on my intro post. Did you opt for the low roof so it was more easily accessible with the rack setup you have there? Really clean work on the window install; honestly thats the thing I'm...

Hello! Any advice and help appreciated!

Thanks for all the input! The stove and sink are pretty low priorities but you all have valid points with the power consumption of a cooktop. I'll probably go the Coleman route and see how that manages when the time comes. Heating isn't a huge concern with our weather here and can always...

Hello! Any advice and help appreciated!

So I finally purchased a van I'd like to live and work out of and I'd like to get some input on some of my plans and where I'm at with things in life. The Van: 2014 Promaster 159" Wheelbase High Top 122,000 Miles with 2 Year/24,000 Mile Warranty [I don't trust Promasters yet; and good call...

Whereabouts are you located? I'm up in Northeastern PA.

Opinions on 97 Chevy P30 Grumman Olson for Sale?

Wow, thanks for all the input guys and or gals. I was thinking the same about him wanting some ridiculously high price, but I contacted him prior to this thread and he said $5,000. Step vans on Craigslist in PA (USA) aren't very cheap. $5,000 is a bit high for my taste. I think $4000 for just...

Opinions on 97 Chevy P30 Grumman Olson for Sale?

So I've been kicking around the idea of living in a vehicle for a long while now, and I was starting to do some market research. Ideally, I think I would like to convert a step van into a home of sorts. Originally I was thinking of a box truck, but then I came across a few step vans and I rather...
