Maxxair Fan repair - system voltage correction

The technician at Maxxair said this to me on the phone Not that the boards will automatically just blow up above 13.9 vdc, just that that can get wonky :) Defining what "Wonky" means is anybody's guess

Not complicated at all Are you expecting a huge voltage drop from a pair of wires that is 12 inches longer than the one from the panel next door?

Maxxair Fan repair - system voltage correction

My MaxxFan 5100k fan has the auto temperature circuit That circuit died and the fan no longer would come on at a certain temp setting According to the techs at Maxxair, the fan board should not see any more than 13.9 volts DC. The guys at MaxxAir sent me a replacement board, no charge They also...

Thanks all I don't think I would run this rig while sleeping :) I never smelled anything coming off the old Teflon pan Then again, the heat level is way lower than frying something in the pan I do have a CO alarm in the van, but my Mr Buddy never even triggered it And that was a bunch more...

    Cool Trailer/camper I saw

I got back from a mountain bike ride and saw this cool DIY camper trailer parked next to my van The guy was pulling it with a big pickup truck  He had to back the trailer into the weeds a bit to get out of the way of the road So, that's why the trailer looks like it's been abandoned in the...

    Coleman stove-Computer Heat pipe heater

I  experimented with a simple way to get less heat than my Mr Buddy portable My Mr Buddy will run me out of my van. It's way too hot at 4000 BTU (on Low) Even the golf cart heaters are 3800 BTU and that is way too much for a small space A long time ago I saw that Bob used the same coleman...
