    new house is here

Yep, holed up in Tucson. Have a friend w/ property here that's good for our whole caravan. Figure it's the perfect time and place to do some work on the rigs while we stay away from people. [emoji6]

    new house is here

Dude, w/ all that cold air underneath, sit or driving, I definitely believe in insulated floors. I've had both and know there's a huge difference . . . plus, I barefoot most of the time (I know, what's wrong w/ me?) and an uninsulated floor makes life suck. Glad you hadn't gotten super far...

    Connecting tow bar to hitch

I have a lifetime of trailering, and often w/ trailers that you can NOT move due to weight. I couldn't explain my method any better than tx2sturgis does above. Just don't be in a hurry!

    new house is here

Hell, I have most of that, minus the hornets, right here in our Tucson park-up, and we didn't even have to pay. [emoji16]

    overlanders

The "nothing is impossible" crew that I know are the ones w/ little or no funds and the understanding that little money just means that you have to invest loads if time and energy, but that it's not impossible to take a non-overlanding vehicle way off road and then still get it back. [emoji16]

    overlanders

Ok I got poked at. Super busy doing town runs today, and not sure what I could contribute being as how I don't do "Overlanding" right. I just spend as much of my nomadic life out on the dirt as I can. I do know lots of overlanders as I worked w/ the founders of Overland Expo, but we have...

    The Most Quiet Fans

I use an expensive Caframo hardwired in fan. So I'm not sure it's what you're looking for, but they are quiet and have some features that I like. Sent from my Z6201V using Tapatalk

    Best engine/body (pref shuttle bus)

I have a '92 Ford, w/ a 7.3 diesel, shuttle in our caravan. I co-built it out around 10 years ago. Milage is around 10 - 13 mpg. What I like about it is the engine, they can last an easy 500K and will burn oil, and the amount of open space. I don't really find it that hard to work on, well...

    Upgrading Cargo Trailer Tires

I did that. [emoji23]. It was a solid, square tube, drop axle. Had me dragging on everything. It was really hard on the springs and changed the angle of the wheels. Now it tracks pretty bad, but it has other issues as well when it comes to tracking. Some day I'll get a straight axle under it.

Battery isolators: What does everyone use?

I've had solenoids feel that way also, more often it's my truck. ;-]

IOverlander is another one that I use often.

    Static on the radio

Now that I moved the wiring for my deck light and got rid of that major amount of static, I've pretty much narrowed it down to a couple of items. Definitely the mppt charge controller and tv/monitor during the day, and at night its only the old 12v tv/monitor, which is on standby at those...

    Sim card swapping

OK, understand that. I've been on LTE phones for the last couple. Currently I'm using the best, and maybe only, rugidized phone that Verizon offers, though it is one model back. Its rated for "global", water proof, shock proof, etc. At least at the standard that phones are rated. Kind of...
