    Troubleshooting solar issues

Just to update the charge controller display is now back on. I have idea what happened, but I'm not gonna push my luck. My next step is going to be purchasing the terminal connections john61CT recommended. Thank you all for your patience so far, I truly appreciate it guys.

    Troubleshooting solar issues

Yes there's 20V and 2.7A, when I measured in my last post it wasn't on the copper part of wire but on outside cover. I double checked to make sure my solar wires aren't in reversed polarity in charge controller.

    Troubleshooting solar issues

My multimeter says my batteries are at 12.3V and when I put it on the solar wires going into my charge controller it goes a little haywire ranging from 100mv to 350mv. There's still no display even when I unscrewed all connections and put them back in, so I tried hooking my panels/batteries up...

Ok will do. As far as I can tell it doesn't have a fuse.

    Troubleshooting solar issues

I just checked my mppt ccntroller and it is showing no display on it or on my MT-50. To my knowledge, I've done nothing to mess with it and double checked all connections. My solar panels came with a Renogy adventure model pwm charge controller. Which leaves me with 1 question. 1. Should I...

    Troubleshooting solar issues

Are there any options where I wouldn't have to pay someone with a special crimper?

    Troubleshooting solar issues

That is what I'm saying. I will look into finding someone with that special crimper.

    Troubleshooting solar issues

Honestly no. In the diagram it says to connect them with plug connectors and socket connectors. Yet when I Google or look those terms up on amazon, nothing looks like they would work in my situation. I emailed them yesterday and am still waiting for a reply.

    Troubleshooting solar issues

I just finished reading the manual, questions, answers and reviews on the power meter on amazon. I still cannot figure out how to connect these to my batteries. Any ideas?

    Troubleshooting solar issues

As far as I can tell, this Bayite unit shows the level of amps going out. It looks good to me it has 714 reviews at 4 1/2 stars, so I'm gonna go with that one. Unless you believe the other one you suggested to me is essential with the extra setting.  For the sake of me knowing we are 100% on...

    Troubleshooting solar issues

I downloaded a PDF file directly from my battery manufacturers website at http://www.upgi.com/products/product-by-category/?cat=SLA and could not find a suggested absorb voltage. Is there a safe average voltage you can suggest?

    Troubleshooting solar issues

Ok so I just did a factory reset after I changed the parameters bardo suggested, and put my float and boost both to 14.4v like I believe you said.  When you say "Put your ammeter on, watch current level as it charges. Charge should continue at Absorb voltage as amps fall" do you mean check...

    Troubleshooting solar issues

    1. When I try to change max voltage to 16.2v (closest sounding one I have is charge limit, I'm only adding these parentheses to double check their the same thing) it says para. error. 2.over voltage rec works at 14.8v  3. Equalize voltage (equal charge) same para. error. 4. Boost voltage (boost...

How would I go about checking the acid levels? I thought that agm batteries were fume free.

    Troubleshooting solar issues

If my boost voltage is 14.8v, and my float voltage is 14.2v. Am I losing .6v every time my charge controller goes into float mode? Or when I start using power does it go back up to 14.8v?

    Troubleshooting solar issues

I'm on it. I have 2 Universal UB121000-45978 12v 100AH Deep Cycle AGM Battery. I am not sure what you mean by "Use .005C to start as endAmps, keep charging until current falls to .5A per 100AH."

    Troubleshooting solar issues

    1. Yes, yesterday while charging my battery was isolated from all loads. If how long you mean charging, my guess was it took 4-6 hours. Or if you mean how long after I'd also say 4-6 hours. 2. As far as I can tell all the connections are solid. 3. I believe so, I have a Tacklife CM01A Advanced...
