    Shower Kits

I have tried them all. Battery powered pumps, pump up sprayers, heavy solar bags you hang on a hook, etc. Driving in to town to pay 5 bucks for a shower and then driving back to where I was; every day, is not an option. By the time I do all of that I need a shower again. I like to shower just...

Or purchase a little 2 watt fan and let it run to satisfy the no current trip.

How can I release my spare tire, with the back doors sealed?

Bingo, you think like me. To be honest, if I was living in a van, I would make it practical as possible, would not care about looks. I wouldn't think twice about cutting a hole in the back and mounting a window unit, diesel heater, chimney, solar panels on top or whatever, etc. Like the patio...

    Probably leaving the forum

Bob is so rich off of his affiliation connections, I wouldn't be afraid to bet he doesn't even look into this site more than 20 times a year, probably hasn't opened it up all week.

Do any of you have experience in dealing with waking up at night with air/gas buildup in the lower stomach.

(((Prevention works ...most of the time.. but immediate relief is needed for an essential backup plan.))) Exactly Maki2, I have had 4 episodes over a 5 year period. I dont want to tun my life upside down for this frequency. I just want some relief, Thanks so much for your advice. Well...

Off topic posts split from "How do u live on $700/month, truly?"

Exactly, inflation is really being miscommunicated, I am watching grocery prices being marked up daily. It has to be well over 15%.

Keeping warm in sub-freezing weather, using only a tiny amount of fuel for heat.

What about the Arizona area? All kinds of options, 14 day jaunts, long term, etc. etc. lot of it totally free.

Will definitely keep that on hand. That is easy enough. Thanks

Do any of you have experience in dealing with waking up at night with air/gas buildup in the lower stomach.

The symptoms I have had 4 times now is waking up at around 2am with extreme pain in the lower stomach that feels like a stack of bricks on your stomach, or your stomach liner is being stretched. It is a dull painful ache. Getting up walking around helps but the problem is it takes around 6 hours...

Feasibility of filtering gray water for drinking again, using a gravity-fed filter system?

I am toying around with the same idea, recycle grey water but only shower water, not the sink. I plan on making a tall vertical sieve with 6' x 3" PVC pipe packed with swimming pool sand and several layers of activated charcoal with filter media on bottom to keep the sand out of the exit slats...

    Experimenting with portable AC unit

Modern window units have slipper ring on the condenser fan that picks up the water, slings it on the hot condenser fins and cools them by evaporation lowering your amperage draw.

How do u live on $700/month, truly?

For some alternate living styles to BLM land, look at Caballo Loco in the Tucson area. Pretty reasonable living with a ton of benefits; mail, power, water, bath house, laundry room, library, full hook up, waste management, shop tools, etc etc. Priced very reasonable. Bob did a video on it...

    Where to get drinking water

Agree, finding reasonably priced water is a huge problem, not so much if you don't mind paying over a buck a gallon. It hurts to pay that much when I know that my residential tap water is less than a penny a gallon (0.8 cents).

    Where to get drinking water

I haven't seen a gas station in years that has water, and the compressed air you have to pay for. I guess I need to look for the water hose bib.

What's the cleanest, cheapest, most minimal eating I can do?

"The cost of calories is the same" no, you can eat the same amount of calories in a $50 meal or a 50 cent meal, it depends on what you're eating, a pound of caviar is more expensive than a hotdog.

What's the cleanest, cheapest, most minimal eating I can do?

"Cheap" & "Clean" ------You can eat very well on a $5 a day but you will have to do the work, not McDonalds or Taqueria #750. Be imaginative. A baked potato with butter is a meal. A pot of homemade beans is several meals. Some things are out; ribeye's, bacon, red snapper, shrimp, deli meats...
