Do I really need to tint the windows?

But will they know neighboring states laws? Will they even care what the states laws are? I have had tint shops go way darker than legal. Is he never leaving that state? If he is, other states laws can become an issue if you drive through them. The "i comply with my state" doesn't always work...

Do I really need to tint the windows?

I would tint as dark as you can with all rear windows according to what's allowed (usually ~30%), which is dark enough. The fronts are what causes issues with LEO's, so be cautious there. Probably dont want to tint the 2 front side windows much at all or at most 35% and nothing on the...

What is your monthly internet usage?

When i had Verizon's truly unlimited plan i used it for all my TV and data usage.  Then they sent me a letter and i had to change to the throttled 22gig unlimited plan.

Wanted: Short Term Rental Garage for Van Conversion in the Northeast USA

Hmm, you have a decent amount of requirements that may make this a bit costly in the NE where a 1 bedroom with a garage goes for $1800+ a month. So the garage alone would be a lot, especially the size you are looking for. I wish i owned my place. I have a small/short 2 car garage that's rarely...

    My adventure vehicle

I live in the NE and took advantage of the Pandemic lock/shut down by going on a multi month adventure down the AT, BRP and skyline drive from ME to TN. Such a great trip with gas so cheap and noone around on the roads, i really felt free for the first time in a long time.  Figured i would...

    Figured i would join.

On most of my forums we have a "Watched" and/or "Started" option right on the main forum page to easily see what i have posted in. I know we can do this through the user CP. Just checking if i messed any other way of doing this.

    Pop-up Canopy Tent

Thanks everyone! Really great info.  In the end i may end up doing a small light weight cargo trailer if i decide to do this long term, especially if i head out west. The flexibility and ease of movement with just my 4Runner and a good pop up for those multiple rainy days is so convenient...

    Pop-up Canopy Tent

I used some spring bar canvas tents back in Scouts, they were super sturdy, and old. lol Ill look for more current spring bar tents that can be used as a canopy/shelter.

    Pop-up Canopy Tent

All sounds really good. Definitely understand the flexibility of the structure being the plus here, similar to a tent.   Now the important question. How waterproof is it? They suggest its water resistant to a good degree.

    Pop-up Canopy Tent

Good to know, i don't get any sudden wind gusts in the NE, but ill definitely will be expanding my travels so its good to know it can get windy randomly elsewhere. With my 4Runner i have been relying on being super mobile to move from bad weather, works pretty good but want a solid backup for...

    Pop-up Canopy Tent

The Gazelle G5 looks like a perfect option. Doesn't seem as heavy construction as the Eurmax but definitely designed more like a tent that can take the wind better.

    Best compact camping chair?

Its an awesome chair, definitely quick deploy and folds up when you pick it up from the strap. Perfect for a carry around chair, i always have in in my truck. Another favorite. Definitely not compact, but is super comfy and durable. Mine is a bit older (10+) with a head pillow and 2 cup...

    Pop-up Canopy Tent

Thanks. The Eurmax has optional walls and doors, so that can be done. Thanks for the desert wind warning, likely i will always stake down the canopy just to be safe.

    Pop-up Canopy Tent

I camp out of my 4Runner and need coverage for when it rains besides my tarps. My biggest worry living out of my 4Runner camping is rainy days with no place to go where i can stand and do things. Its not fun having a serval hour rain storm and all you can do is crawl into your vehicle and wait. ...

I just read over some of the rules. Really great, however a 15 minute edit rule?  I hope i can work through that, its a major issue for me with my poor spelling and time it takes me to put together a post and not miss anything.  Such a bummer. But maybe it will be fine.

What do you do when the law is involved?

I have a lawyer to call if need be but i would definitely want to use a local lawyer who knows the local courts and judges. Just makes things easier.  That said i also try to read up on the local laws before i go, this way i am aware of possible issues and what to say when they come up. Many...

    Dash Cam

I have been running a blackvue 650 for many years now, really great video camera and has lots of capabilities like seeing video right off you phone. IMO there are only a few "best" dash cams and if i was to replace my Blackvue it would likely be a VIOFO A129 Duo dash cam.  Seems to be very...

    Best compact camping chair?

I purchased a GCI Quik-E-Seat. Not a great lounging seat but super easy to deploy and it automatically folds when you grab it to go. Pretty comfortable and durable. $40

    Campgrounds don't accept truck campers

Long time outdoorsman here and new to the forum. I never heard of proper plumbing being a requirement for camping? Is it a west coast thing?  I camp out of my 4Runner and though some states will jail you for sleeping in your car most of the campgrounds i have been on ether allow it or you just...
