    Chinese Diesel Heater Controller Different?

Yes, running a gravity feed system isn't practical in real life but the heater will run that way with constant measurement and adjustment of fuel flow. Just demonstrates that the pulse isn't necessary to squirt fuel through a jet to vaporize it like a automotive fuel injector.

    Battery drain

Bad diodes in the alternator will drain the battery. Not sure if that is still an issue with modern computer controlled alternators but it used to be pretty common.

    Chinese Diesel Heater Controller Different?

Actually these heaters will run on a gravity drip rather than a pump. Pulse not needed. There is a pulse absorbing device that is often used on these heaters to quiet the pump. Also the green line works fine but it's easier to kink, melt, chafe. E8 can be caused by so many things including a...

    Easy Coffee drinks??

For many years I've used a Bodum Travel Mug. It's basically a vacuum insulated stainless steel French press with a flip up cap to drink from. So easy to use and clean. Unscrew top and remove along with the rod and screen. Put in a couple tablespoons of ground coffee. Fill with boiling water. Let...

    Chinese Diesel Heater Controller Different?

No, mine holds a steady RPM when on any setting. It only ramps up during the warmup and shutdown cycles. The high altitude setting slows the pump Hz while keeping the fan speed the same. There is no 1688 admin settings like my other one. The best controller for setting and using the timer is...

    Kotatsu, interesting idea for heat

As an exchange student living in Japan in 1969 I discovered the kotatsu. What a great idea! Never thought about using one in an RV or while sitting around outside but I think it would be great. A Buddy heater or a all in one diesel heater should do the trick as a heat source. Check it out.

    Chinese Diesel Heater Controller Different?

Looks like you have the same one as I do on my all in one heater. If you press and hold the settings button and the OK button together do you get the high altitude icon that looks like a mountain? One key thing to look for is the number of blades on the fan icon, yours has 3, the other one has...

Budget friendly 2000Watt pure sine wave inverter?

One thing to keep in mind when reading inverter reviews is installation mistakes. Many inverters come supplied with undersized cables which causes the inverter to shut down with an under voltage fault when running a big load. Copper cables are expensive but the sellers would avoid many returns...

Laptop or Tablet (MacBook or iPad)

I had been using Windows since the time of MS DOS. Needed it for web development, mapping, and Photoshop mainly. After retirement I found a Windows machine to be unnecessary and went to Android exclusively. Now a 10" Android tablet and a couple Android phones are all I need. Still miss Photoshop...

Inverters you have owned over the years

The 1000 watt Xantrex modified sine wave inverter that I bought in the early 90s has been the most reliable by far. It has run 24/7 for most of the time since the early 90s and still works fine. It'll power my Kenmore washing machine where the new Renogy 1000 watt sine wave inverter will not...

Inverters you have owned over the years

I bought my first inverter around 1987, a 60 watt Tripp light square wave inverter. Not a modified sine wave but an actual square wave inverter that used TO3 power transistors. Not enough peak voltage to power the auto degousing coil in my 13" CRT TV. A series of modified sine wave inverter s...

These generators are back in stock

The fold out handle and wheels are much appreciated. I have one but without the propane. Wouldn't even try to lift it.

An actual analysis of the cost difference between heating with Propane vs Diesel fuels

Red diesel/heating oil is hard to find in small quantities where I live. Normally it is delivered by a tanker truck to a large tank at the residence but few people use it in this area. Last time I checked it was about 35 cents per gallon cheaper than road diesel.

An actual analysis of the cost difference between heating with Propane vs Diesel fuels

Here in Bend Oregon there isn't a big difference in cost per BTU between propane and diesel. Diesel 137381 Btu per gallon at $3.80 per gallon = 36153 Btu per $ Propane 91452 Btu per gallon at $2.80 per gallon = 32661 Btu per $ Propane costs a little more per BTU but all those BTUs stay inside on...

HELP: Condensation Problem & still very cold living inside my Truck Camper shell

Doesn't seem like a 10 watt electric blanket would be very effective. Ever try buying one of those heated blankets that runs off USB connection? They won't use a lot of battery and solve the condensation problem too. I also use a dog cooling mat during hot weather placing it under my...

    Tablet to TV

There is an app called fire toolbox that can change a Amazon Fire tablet over to a pure Android tablet. It requires a Windows PC to make the changeover but once done you have full access to the Playstore and all apps that will run on Android. It also gets rid of adds and all the other annoying...

Slept in 2006 Dodge Caravan Minivan WITH Diesel Heater - Nearly Froze

Pulses per second is pulses per second no matter the altitude. Yes it'll run rich at high altitude unless you adjust the air/fuel ratio but fuel use will remain the same. 1.3 pps is about 36 hours per gallon. 2.0 pps is about 24 hours per gallon. That is with the .022 ML pump that nearly all...

Slept in 2006 Dodge Caravan Minivan WITH Diesel Heater - Nearly Froze

It's not difficult to figure how much fuel will be used per hour since we know that each pulse of the pump is .022 ML. Mine is usually set at 2.0 pulses per second overnight which equals 24 hours per gallon.
