Homelessness [split from Leadville and Salida Ranger Districts]

I don’t believe this ruling applies to nomads with no home base, but within communities with inadequate shelter space for those living on their streets. The 14 day rule on federal lands has been in place for many years, and requires that people move, not that they cease to occupy any space on...

Homelessness [split from Leadville and Salida Ranger Districts]

We need more housing, period, as in more apartment buildings and more modest, single family dwellings, But federally subsidized housing would make this traditional housing affordable to many of the working poor who are not living in vehicles or on the street by choice. More Section 8, would...

Homelessness [split from Leadville and Salida Ranger Districts]

How temporarily clearing the streets of San Francisco figures in here, I’m not sure. It would be logical that city administrators who successfully dealt with their homeless population would then not lose their jobs until the homeless again became a problem. Nor that any city would pay someone...

    SEASHELLS!!

The presence of shells and fragments likely add to the beach, I would think.

    SEASHELLS!!

I don’t know, but I also do leaf removal in the fall. Surely there would be prohibitions on shell gathering if doing so harmed the planet?

    SEASHELLS!!

    I consider seashells a renewable resource. 🤔

Homelessness [split from Leadville and Salida Ranger Districts]

Perhaps, but given this is the median, across the entire country, the cost of living in Huntington Beach, California, and the extent of the homeless population in California, that would not be my first thought.

Thank you, people, and I agree. If a little non profit were paying these kinds of salaries to non-degreed or marginally experienced I might raise an eybrow. These salaries seem pretty modest, to me, for administrative positions in Huntington Beach, California.

    SEASHELLS!!

Olives are one of my favorite shells, and I have found them very tiny as well as this jumbo one, mostly at Edisto.

Clicking on the link, those positions are for the CITY of Huntington Beach, California. A very wealthy area, no doubt these are very modest salaries for administrative positions there.

How can I find a mechanic near me who makes house calls?

AutoZone will also scan those codes for free, if I remember correctly.

How can I find a mechanic near me who makes house calls?

Of course, it’s the “24/7” part I don’t believe is doable, which implies staying inside during service hours, while the vehicle is being worked on in the shop. 😅 I’ve done the parking lots, too, a couple of times, and even been offered an extension cord for electricity.

How can I find a mechanic near me who makes house calls?

And I don’t believe staying in your van 24/7 at any shop can be done. They will not want you in the shop, for liability reasons, and the suggestion to remove valuables is important. I always grab my wallet and all electronics in a bag when I have to wait out a repair.

    SEASHELLS!!

Native, stone. Like what appears to be just a tip in #35, but the entire spear point minus the shaft that would have bound it.

How can I find a mechanic near me who makes house calls?

Google mobile rv repair, but this will cost you more than a place you take it into. I have spent a few nights in parking lots of rv repair places, while waiting for a part to come in or work to be done during the day. If you ask, an rv place may be able to accommodate you.

    SEASHELLS!!

A spear point. 😅 About 5-6” long, minus the shaft.

    SEASHELLS!!

When I was at Edisto a few years back, a fellow camper had walked up to that inlet between the beach and the protected area at Botany Bay, and came back with an entire spear point, minus its shaft.

Homelessness [split from Leadville and Salida Ranger Districts]

If I recall correctly, the school lunch program has always been federally funded, and at least used to be linked with the income level below which a family could receive food stamps. When my children were in grade school, we could have used this help, but not only did we not qualify because I...

Where did these income statistics come from, islanderxx? Tho one of the points in the news article I linked this morning is the numerous entities that pop up to receive grants and other funding to “help”. Simply watching the news this time of year illustrates the duplication that results.
