    Camping Rules and Regulations

I think all that is true for many, bullfrog, but not all. Wages need to be better, and we need more affordable housing, which address many issues. As a struggling single parent back in the day, I’m not sure how we survived, quite honestly, but we did, I went back to college, got a better job...

    Camping Rules and Regulations

I don’t think people are being “punished”, either, but it’s a logical consequence of so many people trying to live in our forests. I read that Gavin Newsome is clearing homeless encampments in California, and where I live that has also recently occurred. They’ve given them a parking lot here...

    Camping Rules and Regulations

I think it has to do somewhat with the mess some make, but mostly with the volume of people hoping to live rent free or at very low cost. It’s not what our forests were intended for, and affects the experience of those wanting to camp for recreation and leisure. Crackdowns of various sorts and...

People are asking for more photos, so I’ve taken more this morning. That is a Blue Beacon sparkle and shine you see on the exterior. ☺️

Vehicle For Sale 2007 Airstream Interstate for sale $45,000

Thank you, and I am in Central Illinois, in a town with an airport if one wanted to fly in to pick it up. ☺️ It has been a great vehicle, and has a lot of miles on it, yet.

    What are you reading?

I didn’t know that, but I buy most of my ebooks thru BookBub, which is a great resource. https://www.bookbub.com/ I only let them send me one email a week, and try to stick with the books that are free, but most are $1.99-$2.99, very reasonable. I had three of the Penn Cage books already...

    What are you reading?

I’ve been reading the Penn Cage series, by Greg Iles. Really good crime mysteries, set in Natchez MS.

    Life At Kamp Koon………

Gorgeous shells, and there were lots of these at Edisto this year. Edisto being my late husband and my favorite place in the world, I left a large one of these shells on his grave in May.

When a pet needs things like surgery…

I’m so sorry to hear of your dogs decline, Ben, and wish you strength as you get thru this. My beloved dog, found as an abandoned 8-9 month old in a state park in Louisiana, is now 14, struggling, and I can’t bear the thought of losing her. I got a sling type aid to lift her hind legs a bit...

    Life At Kamp Koon………

It’s the ATV’s that I hate, up and down dirt and gravel roads, sometimes groups of them, throwing up dust and making so much racket one would think they were on the side of a busy freeway. I think they’re the work of the devil. 😈

    Hello all

I love an all season down comforter, with a washable cover, which works well except when it is really cold, then I add a fleece blanket between me and the comforter.

    seen off the beaten path

We always loved to drive the backroads and go thru old small towns, and I still do. Most of them are just the old storefronts these days, without a lot of active commerce, but the old architecture, town squares with bandstands, etc.. are where this country came from.

    New and dreaming

It makes sense, really. I believe that our kids, pets, whatever external structure and expectations we have sometimes prop us up and keep us going when we otherwise might just quit. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, and I wish for you the strength to get up each day, put one foot ahead...

    Social security insolvency 2033

My husband and I took ours at 62, as many others advised us this was the best way to get back what you had paid in. My husband then died a month after his 65th birthday. You know what happens with your SS when you die, right? Unless you leave dependents, all that you have paid in stays in the...

    Life At Kamp Koon………

I bought a WeBoost, single device, signal booster several years ago, which works very well, boosting weak signal to something usable.
