    Hello

Here is the key part.... "Self-contained units are those with a permanently affixed wastewater holding tank of 10-gallon minimum capacity. Non-self-contained units are allowed only at Mule Mountain, Imperial, and La Posa LTVAs."

    Hello

Consider moving south out of Oregon for the winter in order to have less issues trying to winter over in winter weather. Vehicles have crap for insulation. If I were you I would spend the next 200 hours watching self build videos. When watching Bob's build videos, these folks may not talk...

Do you feel less stable in a hightop van?

The bigger it is the more wind will effect it. There are suspension modifications that can help reduce the effect of road irregularities, semi-blast and crosswinds, bu of course that all costs $$$. One you get into a box truck or similar sized rig, it will be something you will have to learn to...

    Your experience with all-electric vans

I am not an atmospheric scientist, so I have to go by what they say.

    Your experience with all-electric vans

That is a HUGE question... Ask me and I would say go with a 20k used class a workhorse based W22 chassis from 2003 and up... but that was a decision I made for myself going fulltime, with no storage shed or place back home.... so everything I own is with me... not much stuff? do as small as you...

Nomads helping Nomads - Van Aid 2024

Hello fellow nomads, I want everyone to know about an informal unorganized gathering of nomads that will happen this winter season in the great Quartzsite area around Jan/Feb time frame. This is a grassroots way for nomads to get help, and for other nomads to give that help. No one is "in...

How would YOU mount 4 100-watt panels on a 2006 Honda Odyssey?

You could start with somehting like this to creat the mounting system, but... you might exceed the weight limit of the roofs rack mounting points... Honda rack is listed as 80kg /180lbs ... ... be cautious.. see if you can see others who have done similar.. YMMV IANAL

    Van Aid '24

Hello Newcomers, In late Jan/early Feb a gathering of people will convene to help their fellow nomads. The aim is to help those with financial hardship and those that needs skills they do not have, create a better living space for themselves in their vehicles. The gathering has no manager. It is...

Would a pro-built conversion van make the most sense for me?

Every DYI build is different, because people settle on different needs. Prebuilt will be guaranteed to leave you disappointed with something. Start with, a van is tiny. Make sure that small amount of space will work for you. Maybe rent one for a while and see how it works for you..

    When it's time to stop.

I anticipate that a point will come when I will say enough, and I will effect an exit. I live in the only home I have and I have no desie to sit in a hursing home and wait for death to come get me. It isn't like a slow death is in any way attractive to anyone but the stockholders of the...

    Intro

Actually... I do... I want people to have a proper amount of caution, slight fear even... before venturing out. I have only been on the road for 18 months and I have seen many people that were just no prepared in a number of ways, as wel;l aspeople making bad decisions ( which cannot be prepared...

not all of this will apply to you... this is a post I made in answer to someone on the Van Aid Center Camp FB page... ****************** You will need an income of some sort. I have seen people get by on $500 a month. I wouldn't want to try that. $1200 a month and up in your pocket, a reliable...
