China’s Chery unveils autonomous flying car, completes 50-mile test flight

Seriously Gr8ful... you seem to have devolved into a constant spam regurgitator. I ignore most of your posts, but you did occasionally post something science related that wasn't half bad... but even that seems to be consistently spam now. I don't know what the solution is for this...

    Fridge cycle

I was wondering after reading abnorm's reply... I assumed you were looking at a voltage reading on the fridge itself, not the battery... and that the fridge has a switch that stops it running if the voltage is too low. Is that right? If the battery had an issue I figured you notice that other...

    Fridge cycle

Check all your connections, and if necessary get a multimeter and see if you can determine where the bad connection is that is causing the voltage drop. It's possible that the fridge itself has an issue, but more likely something in the wiring. And if those wire lengths and sizes worked for...

    Interesting Articles Relating to EVs

They should be well aware of how to fight a lithium fire buy now, and a 4 ton battery isn't really that big. Most EV batteries are near 1 ton.

When a plane crashes, typically everyone is dead anyway.

Dating and van life. How does one go about this?

I prefer to keep my life simple, by being completely honest with the people important to me. Now... if she was aware of what you were doing, then that's cool. And if she was doing the same, then that's even cooler. Whatever works for you...

Starlink - The Scoop From A Nomad

I tried using a monitor at home just to see what my "normal" use was and it was ~60GB for a month. Watching or downloading videos was most of it. For other surfing, an ad blocker probably helps a lot. Just wanted to add that apparently if you go over 50GB it's $1/GB, so not a huge hit if you...

    Service TPMS Light On....Promaster

I just take it to a place that does balance and tire rotations. There are bazillions and they are cheap.

Dating and van life. How does one go about this?

Gotta make sure those barflys aren't really "bar mosquitoes"... The poor lighting, loud music, and booze will all conspire against your judgement... gotta listen for that high pitched buzz... :ROFLMAO::unsure: Just something I noticed in my younger days when I was good looking... the crazy...

    Which is easier?

AC requires precious electrical energy... and quite a lot of it... along with a contraption that is kinda heavy, bulky, expensive, etc. Heat is a lot simpler. But just moving with seasons, you shouldn't need AC or a heater. I'm good from 20 at night to 85 in the west, but shoot for highs of...

    Nomad maintenance?

Yuck... sounds like a horrid homeless camp in the woods. I remember the good old days when the homeless people stayed in town where they belong!

    Nomad maintenance?

That's why I do the really dirty stuff in a parking lot in town... a bank on a Sunday if possible...🤪😱... ...within walking distance of an auto parts store.

if you need this much watts, do this

You will want to do this in the west most likely. Some people winter along the gulf in TX and FL in winter, but it isn't nearly as common... more people, gotta move often, hard to find free places, etc. You can camp just about anywhere in the SW deserts, and can't beat the high mountains in...

if you need this much watts, do this

Great minds think alike! I considered getting a little fridge and making ice, which I'd then put in a very well insulated cooler. But... the efficiency declines at lower temperatures, so freezing water and using the ice will take more energy and be annoying... with the possible benefit of giving...

Where to park, camp, shower etc

Just walked in and showered at the gym. Apparently no one was tasked with guarding them.... I wash with very little water now (short hair helps!), and I'm fine getting clean wherever I'm parked. Simple and easy. Bathing wipes are helpful also for a less intensive cleaning.

    Gray water... why?

No, don't recall ever camping at a truck stop. In the west it's easy to find public land, and further east I usually park wherever... just off the road and on private land, if there isn't any NF. Never had an issue with that. There are no guarantees since someone might complain, and there might...

Where to park, camp, shower etc

IMO it doesn't pay well enough for long enough to make it worth the drive... unless you are already there, have a bunch of people in one rig, etc....

    Gray water... why?

Where I live I have elk, deer, wild horses, and dogs crapping in my yard. I pay quite a lot of $$$ so that my effluence is processed to drinking water quality...
