    Carnival Workers

I started out as a ride operator. The way they started workers out first on non-mechanical rides (slides, bounce house), then mechanical kids rides, then adult rides. After the first 2 weeks I started out helping with break-down. Initially easy stuff like wrapping cords, hanging fences on...

    Carnival Workers

I worked as a carney in the summers of 2019 and 2021 for All County Amusements out of Long Island, NY. Mostly from Queens from the Hamptons. It can be awesome or it can be h*ll depending on the customers and the weather. Set-up& breakdown are PHYSICAL! Wear a backbelt & gloves. It's a wide...

How much power do I need starting out?

From one of the recent RTR videos with Bob the Bluetti rep said they're coming out with a new small LiFePo4 unit for about $400 thats better than the EB70. If buying right this second isn't necessary I'd wait to see that unit.

Preparing to live in 2-door hatchback, seeking advice.

Most USPS Post Offices have "General Delivery" still. Just call the one you're looking to use and verify and ask how long they hold the mail/packages for.

Nature Lover and friends keep in touch

Whooooaaaa! That's a crazy rig. It's a little heavy at the back, based on the roofline. You should post that in the "Seen on the Road" thread/board.

    My 97 1500

Don't know if you're interested in a (small) bus but I came across this 2003 GMC Savana for $12k with less than 6,000 miles. You can easily register it in Vermont (online) as an RV which can run much less $$ on insurance. I have no idea/assosciation with the seller. Due diligence is a must.

    camper for F250

I'm not sure if it's still available but this camper looks sweet! A polishing wheel and some elbow grease and it'll be shiny like an Airstream. 1969 Avion Truck Camper

    What's in your medical bag?

One thing in my emergency bag will be "Smile's Prid" Drawing Salve. Great for if you pick up a cactus quill or other thorn.

Moving into and heating an SUV in a pinch

Consider an autostart with a 15 minute auto shutoff. Push the button and the engine runs for 15 minutes then stops. Repeat as necessary.

Onthe YouTube channel "Navigation Nowhere" they did a really nice FJ conversion last Spring or Summer. I highly recommend taking a look at it for ideas.

    Paralysis by Analysis

I would highly suggest watching this video by Campulance Man on how/where to find them. His channel is pretty informative. GovDeals.com has them, as well as school busses and vans, but it's an auction and many of the vehicles are high mileage.

    What's for dinner?

I ground up some dried mushrooms in a spice grinder (aka coffee grinder only used for spices) a while ago. I call it "Umami Powder". I add a little bit (1/2 tsp?) to 1lb of "meat" whenever I make burgers or meatloaf. Super yummy!

    Paralysis by Analysis

Just came across this Amublance. I've no experience with diesel engines, but have heard that they are usually good except for the Ford 6.0. For that price you would have over 10k to upfit it with a huge solar and battery system and anything else you would want to do. (Info copied from listing)...

Keeping moonroof open for air overnight?

You could buy a piece of screen or small roll at a hardware store and some bar shaped magnets and make one. Just rem to remove it before driving 😁
