    question from a girl

i have been a builder and remodeler all my adult life, so have had tools in my hands for over 25 years. When my brother was alive (was an asc cert mechanic), wed often spend a weekend replacing an engine or tranny in one of the numerous $500 beaters that either of us had. So, basically, if it is...

Finnally, some pics of the bus, Buford

thanks everyone, it is very much a "work in progress". I do what i can when i can ( when i have time and $$$), meanwhile it is well enjoyed as it is. Bri, 'bout 20 years ago, i helped a guy put a cadillac strech limo on a custom streched 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup frame. It was an advertising gimik for...

ive been in construction all my life, its pretty much what i know. Home base?

the comments are interesting. There are programs like this in lots of areas doing similar programs, including on the Kensi pennusula in Alaska. The one i looked into one that offered 20 ac and enough lumber to build a cabin . You had to stay on the oroperty for 10 years. Comming from Ny where...

    Truck Camper for Retirement

hi Lodiak, welcome. ive been playing with the idea of building a slide in for my truck too.if you used aluminum coil stock, available in home depot or lowes, you will get a much smoother outside skin than either aluminum or even vynil siding with far less potential leak spots. A basic roll of...

    Garmin

My wife has a Garmin, it seems to work well. We both have android phones, and I use mine quite a bit ( ours are verizon based), but several times it has dropped me off with my destination nowhere in sight. ( once was 60 miles away!!) Trish's gamin has never lead her ( us, when we travel...

    My new E-350 Extended van

Coultergeist, nice find at a good price! Too bad the cables to the back have to go, or do they? while looking at your pics, i saw on the passenger side front door, an extended step. Great for elderly or disabked passengers, but very low if you plann to boondock in some out of the way places...

Coleman 1 lb propane cans for $5.37 for double pack at Walmart

not bad, but still much cheaper to get an adapter hose for $10 and a 20# tank for $20. I always keep a green 1 pounder around for emergencys, but bulk is by far the cheapest way to go. A fulltimer i know ran his 2 burner stove 2-3 times a day for 9 weeks off a 20# tank.
