    A Minimalist Design Thread

I've looked at about every type of vehicle to live in, and what works best for me is a cargo trailer. My 6x12 cargo trailer weighs 1200# loaded. I can stand up in it, walk around, tow it easy with a 1/2-ton pickup truck, and it only cost $2000 new for the basic trailer. I have A/C, propane...

Using 120v electric blanket on inverter

You can not measure watts or amps with a multimeter, You can measure volts. A multimeter will not tell you anything about power consumed. You need a kill o watt meter (Harbor Freight Tools) to see hot many watts you are using.

    OK I Chickened out BUT?????

Welcome to the forum... 93 with 29000 miles: CAUTION That's an old rv that's been sitting way too much... dry deals, gaskets, motor, transmission, roof, A/C, and on and on. I hope you have LOTS of $$$ for many repairs and expect 8 mpg or less. I rather have one with high miles at least it's...

Are any of you worried about autonomous vehicles?

I can't afford a self-driving car or truck... Will they give me more SS so I can go buy one? Will they come take my motor out of my car or truck? No worries...

Minimal setup for all night warmth

It depends on the heater... If one buys a vented heater (exhaust vented outside) it can be ran 24/7 with no fumes into the indoors. My RV heater is vented outdoors... no worries.

    83 Chevy Carburetor Issues

A cheap compression gauge is $29. Shop labor is around $100 an hour. The ticking noise could be a grounded plug wire, makes a motor run rough.

    HELP,Van Buy???

No... check with the owners on the condition though. The price's look normal to me for our area. The super cheap deals may or may not be real ads.
