    100% STEALTH

In 2 more months I'll have an 09 2500 express, with a 7x14 cargo trl as my main living quarters. Sure I'll stand out, but having that much more room for tools and supplies comforts me. The ability to make repairs and carry spare parts overrides my care about blending in. Fixing things makes...

    100% STEALTH

Live how you want people. If living in a box under a bridge gives you security, then do it. If appearing stealthly gets you through a day, then buy a white cargo van with a ladder rack to hide solar panels. Being happy is YOUR responsibility My favorite meme may get deleted, but...

    Paint that sticks to Reflectix?

Just buy one can of it at wally world and play with small test pieces. I found 3 very light coats, will suffice. From the outside looking in, it appeared the windows were very darkly tinted. No sign of reflectix. It made a heck of a difference. Was able to use ac on low, instead of hi...

    Thoughts on this van?

Yeah, I had the 4.9 inline 6, 5 speed manual in an 88 4x4 f150. It was my winter only vehicle. I beat that thing senless, it never let me down. The hwy performance was lack luster, but boy did that thing have crazy torque. Good farm and local trks. [emoji1] Sent from my SCH-S968C using Tapatalk

    Paint that sticks to Reflectix?

Black spray plasti dip. I used it on the reflectix in my blazer. Wash the reflectix in soap and water to remove any grease or oil, then dry in the sun. It made a HUGE difference in the rear temps of the blazer. The guy I sold it to likes it! Sent from my SCH-S968C using Tapatalk

Buying a van and getting it back to my place

This! How big is your car? Even my lil poe dunk town in Idaho has 6 uhaul places. Buy your van, have it checked out for any issues, then rent a TOW dolly for $35 a day. Tow it to the closest uhaul place to where you live. Drop the tow dolly off and drive the van home. Call a taxi to take you...

    Pay Rent or Finance RV

Even a used RV will depreciate faster than u can pay it off. If for some reason you need to sell it before the note is paid, it will be tough to get what you owe on it. With the oil bust in the Midwest, the market is flooded with nice abandoned rvs, whos owners left in the middle of the...

what are some of the places you hate the most

I'll play[emoji12] Chicago, Detroit, L.A, San Antonio, NYC, Fresno Ca, and Miami. These places have gotten betten with crime, but horrendous traffic make my job of driving a 40 ton truck nerve racking. Add in the high cost of living, and city corruption... I'll call Idaho home for now...

Straight Talk 10 gigs for $55 mo.

Been a ST customer for 8 years. Got an email from them last month, stating I could double my data for only $10 more than the $45 5 gig I've been using. I love it! Not sure if this is a limited time offer, but I'm having a blast binge watching YouTube vids. Just passing this along...

    Cargo Trailer Conversion

Very cool. I'm planing a similar build on a 7x14 CT pulled by a 2500 express. I'm talking note from your rig. Nice indeed! Did you instalk those windows yourself? Or did it come that way? This will be my most nerve racking part of a CT build.. The CUTTING! [emoji16] Sent from my SCH-S968C...

Van Mechanical Issues Are Taking the Wind out of My Sails

This is a YT explaining how to check and fix a plenum. Its low quality, so it will use less data. It applies to all 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 magnum engines. I was lucky on my old 02 8.1 V10 Dodge, it didn't suffer from the dreaded plenum issues. Different intake set up. Sent from my SCH-S968C...

Van Mechanical Issues Are Taking the Wind out of My Sails

A common problem with the 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 chrysler/dodge magnum engines is the lower plenum gasket going bad. this gasket seals between the lower pan and the intake manifold. when the gasket goes bad, it allows oil from the lifter galley to be sucked up into the intake and burned. I've heard a...

    So here's one option...

The 7.3 is the best diesel v8 ever made. Its in a van body though. There is a member here that told his story about his experience pulling a 7.3 from a van. If you can get it cheap enough, that may offset the expense of future work. Unless you are handy working around 7.3's, leave the heavy work...
