Ideas Needed to Build Adult Swing Structure

I had never seen these before!  I think I need one for myself.  I don't think it would work for her, but I'll see what she thinks.  Thanks for the idea.  It's too bad the one that you can use for chairs or hammocks is so much more expensive. Tracy

Ideas Needed to Build Adult Swing Structure

Hi, Community, I'm trying to figure out how to take my adult autistic daughter on the road with me.  She has many challenges related to traveling but would like to try living away from the whole family for a while.  Currently, to calm herself she swings on a 9 ft. swingset in our yard.  I need...

    Holding Ice

Do you know a brand that doesn't leak?  My experiences with Ziploc freezer bags have been bad.

    Holding Ice

My experience with Ziploc freezer bags is that they leak.  I ordered some 2 gallon bags last night to try.  Is there a brand that you know of that doesn't leak?

    Holding Ice

Yes, I was considering this, but was a little foggy.  Do you know the formula for the fake fiberglass?

    RTR - help needed/offered?

I think there are very old professions where this would be considered business attire. :P

    Holding Ice

I'm redesigning my ice chest.  I have one I build a couple of years ago that works well (keeps ice 5-7 days), but it is too big for my upcoming van reconfiguration. The current way I hold Ice is in large pitchers or large plastic containers with lids so the water doesn't spill out into the ice...

What do I do with the wires?

Could I just use the bussbars?  Like put the positives on one and the negatives on another?

What do I do with the wires?

  Are you referring to the negative terminals at the top of the box?  Or do I need a separate buss thingy?  How do I know whether I need a buss? Tracy

What do I do with the wires?

What do I do with the wires?

I am looking for how to connect the wires going coming off the battery to some sort of a fuse box. Right now they're all just hanging off the battery. When something goes wrong it's a big mess.   I'm looking for someone to just tell me what I need and maybe post the amazon links to  buy it. ...

    RTR roll call

Can't wait to see my friends and make some more!   Nishan and I (Tracy) will be there!  I think I will be more on the outskirts this year, but we'll see.  The low-rent district is sure to be fun, too.

    RTR 2017 Schedule

Hi, Cheri, I know firsthand how scary this can be, but the surgery was remarkably easy for me.  I had a mastectomy and felt pretty good after a couple of days.  Hope you can make it to RTR!  I have found the desert to be very healing.  Good luck.  May you be well.  Tracy

    Ford E-series? Extended vs non-extended?

I drive an E-350 15-passenger van.  I have the extra 20".  I like it. My van has to allow three of us to live (husband, son, and I).  I don't find anything very difficult about driving.   If passengers will be in the back, the seat past the rear wheels, the ride is brutal!  When I take it out...

GIRLS' ROOM: Gym Memberships and the YMCA (YWCA)

I have a Y membership and this is how we shower when traveling. If you are in a lower income bracket the cost is very reasonable. When you join a Y make sure the gym subscribes to the AWAY (Always Welcome At the Y) program. In my experience traveling, there is always a Y on the way. I just...

    LED lights subtle flicker

We had this same problem. I think our LEDs want to be 12v, but the plugs are 110 so we used them through our inverter. If there is a way to make them straight 12v that might solve your problem. You could do a test before you make anything permanent. Good Luck Tracy

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

Hi, Gaia, When I first started contemplating nomadhood, it was very hard to imagine being without the things that I thought were important. As I started to explore and venture out, I realized that the comforts I thought were important were a burden. I know it's hard to believe. When I am out...
