    Simply "E-Threefifty" :)

Oh My! I did it! Bought 2003 Chevy Express 2500 Access. Now what?

Congrats! What a memorable trip! Yes, anything safety related first - e.g. tires. When I buy tires, I want them to be good in the rain. I once had absolutely terrible tires (new) and they were a real safety hazard on wet streets. The few extra bucks are really worth it.

Planning storage needs... What, how and where?

Think of a place for your trash and dirty clothes, and a storage place for the window covers.

Bummer... I have all my van build pics on photobucket, but they are blocking the pics now (unless you pay $399). I wondered why I can't see other people's pictures here in the forum... The following article offers alternatives...

I'm thinking of re-doing my build

I think a desire of re-doing the build is absolutely legitimate. After all, you have been "living" with it and know exactly what you don't like. I recommend this online studio where you can layout your build: Click here and then click New Floorplans. It offers quite a few floorplans (Chevy...

    Building Carmon

Here is what I think. If the van is rolling over, you most likely will be sitting in the driver's seat or passenger seat. Those are actually pretty safe because you still have the 'original' roof and beam over you. Also, you could get Roadmaster Active Suspension which seem to prevent...

    mechanics that cheat you

I don't know how it works in the US, but in Switzerland a "real" mechanic will show you all the old parts and ask if you want to take them home or if they should dispose of them. When picking up your vehicle after a repair, ask the mechanic to show you the old parts. Depending on his...

    Building Carmon

Rolling Earthship removed a similar "cage", but left the sides: [video=youtube] I don't have a cage, but even without the cage, I cannot fully stand in my van (I am 5 ft 6)

    window covering in van

Seeking some tips and advice on how to permanently cover a window or half of a window.  I am pretty much ignoring the windows as I am planning my layout, but I am concerned about condensation and its consequences when permanently covered and not being able to see that something ugly might have...
