Chillaxin evening in camp.  Wanna know something that feels fantastic???  Put your chair out in the water and soak your bare feet while cleaning them with sand.  Ooohhh soooo Good!!! This is view from side door, sound of the waves just lulls you to sleep:)

Makenmend.... thanks for the heads up on eating them. A couple other people have told me the same so I’m going to give them a go. I’ve been catching tons of speckled and sand trout, under the 15” size limit. Haven’t seen the first flounder.

No bull reds or bull black drum today but did catch a first, gaff top catfish, took a whole crab.  Not only is the dorsal fin long but so are the pectoral fins.  Went about 3 lbs, very very slimy

Me????  A procrastinator????  It only took me 15 months to decide where I wanted to mount the power center.  2, 12 volt sockets; 2, 2.4 amp USB ports and a 5 plug power strip/surge protector.

My kind of place, Indianola Marina.  Indianola, once a major Texas seaport, is now a ghost town, but Indianola Marina perseveres.  I spent New Years Eve here last year.  Life is good.

Met a lot of great people last night at Indianola Marina.  I was just an observer and will be fishing here starting Monday.

Indianola Marina, my kind of place.  Great little place to fish, buy bait, and eat.  Weekends, live music and every Friday is steak night, $9.99 for 8 oz ribeye, baked potato and salad.

JustACarSoFar....short answer, no you don’t need a saltwater specific reel. Having said that, just make sure you rinse reel with freshwater after use and clean/oil more frequently. This is the first “saltwater “ reel I’ve ever bought, I like the idea that the bearings and gears are sealed. I...

Well, it’s still raining so decided to visit a bait n tackle shop in search of a saltwater spinning reel.  Plan on putting it to work tomorrow.

A good balance :). Nope, no socks...crocs and tennis shoes are my only foot gear :)

Raining out sooo, did laundry.  This container holds all my clothes; 3 pants, 6 T’s, and 6 underwear.  Fits nicely under the front half of the bed with 3 other same size containers.  This is my entire wardrobe,  minus what I’m wearing and 1 sweatshirt, 1 hoody and 1 insulated rain/wind jacket...

Nothing to brag about.  Caught a few small ones while waiting for the bigger fish to show.

Commercial fishing out in force to my front today. Also added a beefier reel for saltwater fishing, Abu 7000 C3
