    Register Van as RV?

Hi! I'm outfitting my Ford Escape as a camper. Is there a way to get it registered as an RV?

    we need a dating site

IMO a site for "friendships" rather than "please like me" dating sites, would make a lot of sense. No selling yourself, just responding to like-minded individuals for mutual companionship. If something more develops; "Bob's Your Uncle."

Do I permanently ghetto-mount my AC?

I saw that sliding A/C setup too.  Very smart.  I can't remember if it was one of Bob's interviews.

    Methuselah Remodel

I just sent a note to our local Ford dealer and asked if the Escape could withstand having a fairly small cutout on the roof.  Looking for wheelhouse photos, I found most have vertical front windows.  The front would have to be very sloped for an auto application.

    Methuselah Remodel

Hi Stranger :)  Glad you mentioned the "fold in half" problem.  I was hoping to find a handyman with enough savvy , to build the wheelhouse, and now I see he'd have to be somewhat of an engineer to figure out how to stabilize the opening.  It wouldn't have to involve much of the length of the...

    Methuselah Remodel

Hi, I've given up on finding a camper van I can afford. Sooo, I'm figgering ways to make my 2005 Ford Escape into a camper.  I have a cot in there, but was wondering if the roof could be raised on such a small vehicle. I picture a raised area created like a wheelhouse.  Any ideas? Max

GIRLS ROOM: Nomadic Women's Groups on the internet

 Good thing my reply didn't go through.  So why did the forum send an email about a 2012 post?  Huh High Dessert Ranger.  (Yes, I'm a very good speller)

    Methuselah Remodel

Oops, forgot to include a recipe for no-cook Cranberry Relish. Daughter-in-law didn't have time to chop (or grind) up the relish, so she served it the way it was.  She called it "Rough Stuff"    Anyway, it was way better than the relish I've always had, IMO.  so here's the recipe...

    Methuselah Remodel

I'm still here.  Plans still in flux. 12 degrees below zero F overnight.  About 15 now at around noon.  Mizzable weather to be rig shopping. So here's the skinny... REX still in play... current buyer listed as "pending" for some time.  Makes me think REX will become available again at some...

What to do with tuna can juice?

This is a pretty rad thread, with all the ideas. So, I tried a new product.  Wild Planet's WILD SARDINES in Exra Virgin Olive Oil with Lemon - Lightly Smoked. Scale free, sustainably caught, in the North Pacific. 4,4 oz Averages 18g Protein and 1,800mg EPA and DHA Omega 3 per Serving. From the...

    Cheap Heating Options?

We heated this 2600 sf house with wood, in a kitchen stove exactly like the one on the Walton's TV program.  At night we changed to coal so it would burn longer w/o getting up to feed her. Her name was Phoebe, like the character in the House of Seven Gables, who brought warmth to the house...

What to do with tuna can juice?

Caravan, I'm not sure how much oil is in the tuna you buy, but be careful of the newfangled idea to cut out all oil.  Your body needs good oils to carry vitamins through your system.  Of course if it's packed in water, the whole can can go in your soup, and you can then purchase good oil to use...

What to do with tuna can juice?

Would it work if you bought your tuna packed in a quality oil, like olive or other healthy oil, and put the whole shootin' shebang in your soup?  That way, just 1 paper towel should clean the residue out of the can.  Keep zip bags handy, and put the can + towel into one before adding it to...
