    Good dispersed camping etiquette

I've had to tell an adjacent camper about a blatant propane leak. Not even a thank you. What a dick. Then there was the time at Nascar on the hill (AZ ISM raceway) away from everyone. Kids setup a tent 1 foot from my bedroom window. Their friends next to my genny exhaust. You wanna camp next to...

What's the big deal with a diesel?

The 6.0 and 6.4 Fords were over stressed and broke a lot. The emissions controls were new and troublesome, like gassers in the 70's. The 6.7 is good. The GM Duramax and Allison are hard to beat in a pickup. The Cummins are good, but the rest of the Ram Trucks have too many little problems. I...

What’s causing these van /trailer fires?

At least those were not "backwired" but the screws come loose over time, heating and cooling of the dissimilar metals (Cu and Brass) can cause that.

What’s causing these van /trailer fires?

Wire size. Wire size. Wire size. And fuses. In the right place. And are the right size. Properly wired electronics. I see it all the time. Proper size on the positive, proper fuse. Then too small of a ground wire. "But it's only the ground" they say. That "Ground" is actually the Negative...

What's the big deal with a diesel?

Gasoline is a solvent. Diesel is a lubricant. Think about that.

Best place to rent an RV for Quartzite?

Start with Offerup and Craigslist. The commercial places will rape you for $1 per mile on top of the rental fees. Some people buy one cheap, use it, then resell it.

    Using Ryobi products without solar

Yeah, I tried that fan in my shop and it kinda sucked. Was expensive for the air flow, and the speed switch was intermittent.

    Your ideal evening?

I use a small metal 8" fan to blow the smoke upwards. If you put it close enough to the fire, it will create an updraft. Inverter and battery required... I'm up for a campfire every night.

    Using Ryobi products without solar

I just looked that fan up. Nice that it is Ryobi battery compatible. Too bad we cannot get it without the battery and cheesy charger for less. I have a ryobi 18V sabre saw that is branded a homelite. I bought that when working in Taiwan...

Running a frig and using cooling devices

the 12V setting on a 3-way is for running when rolling down the road. The tow vehicle's alternator powers it if the trailer is wired with a charge wire. Use it on Propane when not running the genny.

Specific questions about LTVA and The Magic Circle

You could consider pooling your cash and renting a toilet to share. River Septic from Parker can rent you a toilet. I pay $150 for one to be brought all the way to I-10 and exit 53 (Hovatter Road) for events. Might be a lot cheaper closer in. You'd have to find a way to keep the masses out though...

    Public Toilets

One thing about vaults and porta potty's, If everyone would put the lid down when done, it keeps the smell out and helps with flies. Get the word out. With the lid closed, the stink goes up the vent pipe instead of out the bowl into the room. Use your foot if you have to. Thank you.

    Anyone living in a teardrop?

I'd "camp" in one but not live in one. With something like that, you live outdoors and just sleep inside.

    Box Trucks

Let me see what I can get. I do know, that any pics of the inside of the box will show a bunch of rigging equipment that is NOT included.

    Box Trucks

No, I am in Phoenix. I do not work at the Austin facility, but I can facilitate a look, but they are moving and really only have time to show to people actually interested in buying.

    Box Trucks

Folks, my company is selling a couple of box trucks in Austin. I have not seen them, but they do run (one had the battery stolen) The International has an RV door on the side. If they were in AZ I'd buy the International for myself. The prices are very negotiable. PM me if interested, don't...

    Who's behind your user name

ZoNiE: Someone from Arizona. I use this everywhere I can, so if you see ZoNiE, spelled like this with alternating caps, then it is probably me.
