Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

lol...what do you make it in? I don't have anything else that even goes in an oven besides a pizza pan which shouldn't even be called a pan, it's flat, lol

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

It's nice to know there are others out there with the same set of issues! I don't think I am as bad as you as far as keeping items around, I regularly purge my stuff for Goodwill, and I love that feeling of having less stuff. Right now I think I have the least I have ever had in my life. I know...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

It isn't that I need kudos, exactly, it's that I am being judged for having poor money handling skills and no one is noticing what I am doing right, which I feel 99% of what I do with my money is right. I suppose I could spend less money on going to the movies (which usually is only because I am...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

The things I have now are the bare minimum I need to get by, I can't NOT have a place to live or a vehicle or a cellphone or insurance or electricity or water, etc. Travel IS important to me but my survival has to be more. I can only travel when I figure out a way to afford to survive and have...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

I do pay more than the minimum payment IF I have money left over that month. And I don't need any new pans, the only thing I still didn't have was the meat loaf pan, lol I am good to go now.

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

When i go camping, my prevalent thought is that I need an RV, lol I walk by the Rv section so jealous of them! My small cheap tent isn't even big enough for me to stand up in, it's hard to get dressed, there isn't enough room for me and my boyfriend's stuff, bugs get in way too easily, it's just...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

I don't recall your response to the "cold issue", like someone (sorry I forget the name) said a few posts back, your car breaking down in the south is an inconvienience, but in the north it's a tragedy. You don't hear about people freezing because they have cellphones to call for help.  It...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

Most of what you explained went over my head, lol I don't even know what a lot of those terms mean. This is why it's hard for me to run my own business. I am not a very smart person when it comes to stuff like this. I need it explained in laymans terms. Can you tell me how this mobile hotspot...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

lol True! I guess I have never worried about those kinds of things, but I do worry about being stranded alone with no way of getting help. And since i love to travel and want to do it more often, i think my risk of that happening goes up exponentially.

Our overtime is mandatory, I can't opt out of it. Also, I don't get a refund, I had to pay $300 this year for not having health insurance.

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

I disagree completely with both of these statements. There are many ways to do anything. Unless you're talking about becoming a good musician or athlete, obviously practicing is the only thing that everyone has to do the same, but as far as making money, achieving a certain goal, there is more...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

Where are you seeing this? I am on their site right now and the cheapest plan I see is $35, I think that's the one I have right now. It's free!? But yeah, Sprint, ugh. I would be roaming alot plus only get 1 bar where I live. My phone is the only way I can keep in touch with my family, I need...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

I forgot to add the $84 a month for car and trailer insurance. Any extra i have goes to my credit card, so that varies each month. Also remember I have emergencies that come up, it isn't all just bills I have to pay for. I had to replace my bathroom faucets, water meter, i had to buy a set of...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

It's not a matter of it sinking in. Apparently some things are important to me that other people are willing to sacrifice on. But I am still not giving up, there is a way, I just have to keep looking.

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

I would definitely call you "wonder woman" after working that much! I am no stranger to working long hours though, for nearly 3 years I worked 12 hour days for 42 days straight each time. I didn't do it for the money though, I did it because they gave us free housing and I desperately needed to...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

lol Funny, I shared that very same article on Facebook yesterday! It must be making the rounds! Obviously, I wholeheartedly agree, which is why i want to live in an RV so I can travel and have more experiences and meet more people. The $1.00 meat loaf pan I bought isn't going to stop that from...

Money/job issue is my biggest obstacle to living the RV life

I don't want a big one, the smaller the better. I am really liking the Scamp 5th wheels, they're not much bigger than a regular Scamp, which are smaller than other travel trailers. I don't see how the size of the trailer makes a difference to the environment though, it doesn't have an engine...
