Kyocera 325w: good choice for the van?

Lots of useful information! Thank you! I think solar will be my main source of charging the batteries. Would you Recommend one 12v or two 6v batteries? The roof rack is a vantech H2, as shown in pictures a few posts before this, and it will have 5 cross bars under the panel. That should be...

Kyocera 325w: good choice for the van?

Another question I have looking at Kyocera's website is that they'll have a solar panel, let's say 200w, with 1000v and the same panel with 600v. What's the difference?? Which one would be the right application?

[emoji23] One is a tree stump, the other a trench box used to protect workers when digging more than 4 feet down. Why? Would you like one? You can use it attached to the front of your vehicle as an added protection. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji106]?[emoji604]

Kyocera 325w: good choice for the van?

I don't think I'll be able to pick them up locally, not sure though, may have to look a little harder. The problem with multiple panels is that I may not be able to fit them and have as much solar wattage. [emoji106]?[emoji3][emoji604]

Kyocera 325w: good choice for the van?

Thanks Bob! I'm looking but I'm not sure if I have a solar panel supplier closer to me. The reason I'm going with such large panel is because if I use anything smaller, but larger than 140w I'll only be able to fit one. And two 140s only equal 280, 50w less than I can get with the 330w panel...

Kyocera 325w: good choice for the van?

Sorry it's taken a while to answer back. First, thank you for responding! I'm also looking at a 330w Kyocera panel, but if I understand you correctly, I shouldn't buy a 330amp battery but a little less. From your calculation, 125amps or so less than watts. If I'm making lots of solar, would it...

I think their problem was that they ran out of typing ink, thus the very few words. As far as the pictures go, I think Martians did them. [emoji106][emoji1][emoji604]

I'll know how well it works once I have the solar up and running. And yes, very poor quality control. I paid $1200 from realtruck.com, some other places want almost $1500. It came with free shipping. [emoji106][emoji1][emoji604]

Hi and welcome! I understand your connection dilemma and will try to keep that in mind for when I post more videos. Big pain to put together, but like it so far. Mind you that as I type this it's only been up on the roof since Sunday, 5 days so far. I'll need some more time, including having...

2014 Chevy Express 2500 Van Build: Luisafernandes

Even with the paint stripped off the only way to make the cross bars fit into the rails was to pull them in with the bolts. After much pain the rack was assembled, and with the help of two young teenagers and another adult I was carefully able to set the rack on the roof. I used cardboard...

2014 Chevy Express 2500 Van Build: Luisafernandes

To everyone that can't watch YouTube videos I apologize for not posting pictures or a more lengthly explanation. After looking and researching for a roof rack since before buying the van, I settled on the Vantech H2 roof rack. It had very good reviews, holds 750 pounds, helps hide the stuff up...

Kyocera 325w: good choice for the van?

Hi folks!  I'm getting to that stage where solar is next! I believe I can fit a 325w Kyocera panel up on the roof. Arizona W & S website says they aren't necessarily made for RVs. My thinking is that they'll be fine. Anyone think not? I know all this information is in here somewhere but, besides...
